As our Product Messaging Specialist, you will shape how our product stories are developed and expressed, connecting product truth, customer insight and brand storytelling.

Reporting to the Senior Copywriter and sitting within Brand & Content, you’ll be involved from the early product-concept stage, helping to influence and develop product narratives. Using established brand and messaging frameworks, you’ll create clear, compelling product messaging, including value propositions and proof points that are technically accurate, relevant to customers and distinctively Fisher & Paykel.

Based at our Global HQ in Auckland, you’ll manage multiple projects at once and collaborate closely with Brand & Content, Global Product Management, Product Development, Marketing, Digital and Legal. You’ll also be happy working with Ai to expand your thinking and iterate on ideas quickly, while applying your human judgement.

Naturally curious and organised, you’ll explore how products work, what differentiates them and why they matter. You’ll then bring those insights to life through product communications across channels and markets, helping shape product copy, content briefs, web and e-commerce content, retail and sales tools.

You’ll also help improve how product knowledge is captured, structured, reused and maintained across Brand, Marketing and Sales teams globally.

You’ll be an experienced copywriter, technical writer or product content specialist with excellent English language skills. You enjoy getting into the detail, asking the right questions and turning complex product information into clear, engaging stories that customers can understand and value.  You’ll also be

You’ll bring:

-   Experience in copywriting, technical writing or product content creation, ideally in appliances, electronics or another technical product environment.

-   Strong research and interviewing skills, with the ability to uncover product facts, customer insight and credible proof points.

-   The ability to translate complex specifications into clear, customer-friendly language without compromising accuracy.

-   Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills, with strong attention to detail.

-   Comfortable working with AI, and learning where it can help us move faster, without compromising quality or resonance in the work.

-   Experience creating product messaging for digital and retail channels, including web, e-commerce, SEO, AI search and point of sale.

-   Confidence working across Product Management, Product Development, Brand, Marketing, Digital and Legal, balancing brand, customer, commercial and compliance requirements.

-   A systematic approach to capturing and maintaining product information for reuse across teams and markets.

-   A relevant bachelor-level qualification, or equivalent professional experience.

Experience with PIM systems, CMS platforms, Figma, data analytics, knowledge-management systems or AI-powered content tools would be advantageous.

You’ll bring a point of view, constructively challenge assumptions and use sound judgement to balance technical accuracy with human storytelling. You’ll also be interested in how AI, evolving search behaviour and new digital experiences can help customers discover and understand our products.
