The Opportunity

This Product Management Director - Bank leads the Bank's Member Forecast function, providing the forward-looking view of Bank membership health across new member acquisition, Multi-Business Household (MBHH) growth, and member attrition (lost members). This role translates acquisition, deepening, and retention performance into a unified membership forecast that informs product strategy, investment prioritization, and executive decision-making, bringing rigorous forecasting discipline together with product management leadership.

This role formulates product, pricing, and sales strategy recommendations based on analysis of profitability, competitiveness and sales performance for a portfolio of bank products across their full lifecycle. Accountable for analyzing market trends and product performance for sustainable growth, profitability, member value, and regulatory compliance. Responsible for defining the business questions, providing insights to improve business performance, and execution of the vision, strategy, and product roadmap. Supports the maintenance of existing products and/or leads in the development and launch of new products.

This role is remote eligible in the continental U.S. with occasional business travel. However, individuals residing within a 60-mile radius of a USAA office will be expected to work on-site four days per week.

What you'll do:

• Drives and evolves the product vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap aligned to Bank priorities and member needs.
• Interprets performance results to inform product or sales forecast and planning.
• Leads product innovation while ensuring alignment with business objectives, risk appetite, and regulatory expectations.
• Develops recommendations to launch new products and the evaluation and decision to buy/build or partner.
• Acts as product SME on features and services and collaborates with business partners to provide recommendations.
• Analyzes and evaluates product performance metrics to form recommendations regarding market opportunities and product enhancements and leads efforts to expand or change existing product features.
• Partners with Marketing to define go-to-market and value proposition strategy of the product/feature.
• Provides support regarding all aspects of Product Life Cycle.
• Approves and provides support in developing, editing and distributing product communications.
• Coordinates with relevant control partners (to include Legal, Compliance, and Risk Management) to ensure product offerings are designed, implemented and managed in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
• Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.

What you have:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or Statistics; OR 4 years of relevant education and/or experience.
• 8 years of relevant industry experience in Actuary, Underwriting, Marketing, Sales and Service, Finance/Accounting Operations or Financial Services.
• 3 years of product management, or similar strategic management experience (similar experience includes direct support in managing product performance).
• Experience telling stories leveraging data visualization tools (i.e. Tableau).
• Experience creating product briefings and presenting to executive leadership.
• Experienced in market research to create product roadmap, make product decisions and iterate rapidly.
• Knowledge of applicable Banking-industry laws, regulations, risk, and compliance requirements.

What sets you apart:

• Experience building or owning member/customer growth forecasts, including new member acquisition, household deepening, and attrition/churn, within a financial services or subscription-based business.
• Demonstrated ability to develop statistical or predictive forecasting models (e.g., time-series, cohort, scenario-based, or econometric methods) and translate results into actionable business recommendations and strategic decisions.
• Strong understanding of membership and household-level performance metrics, including Multi-Business Household (MBHH), product penetration, member retention, attrition, and lifetime value drivers.
• Proven ability to influence senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders without direct authority to drive alignment on forecasting methodologies, assumptions, performance measurement frameworks, and strategic priorities.
• Experience establishing enterprise forecasting processes, governance routines, and operating models across multiple business units, ensuring consistency while balancing unique line-of-business objectives.
• Demonstrated success navigating competing priorities and facilitating decisions regarding forecast allocations, performance targets, and accountability frameworks across diverse stakeholder groups.
• Strong executive communication and storytelling skills, with experience presenting forecast assumptions, scenarios, risks, opportunities, and recommendations to executive leadership.
• Extensive experience performing complex data analysis and forecasting using tools such as Excel, Tableau, SQL, Snowflake, Python, R, SAS, Adobe Analytics, or similar analytical platforms. 
• US military experience gained through military service or gained as a military spouse / domestic partner.

Compensation range: The salary range for this position is: $143,320 - $273,930.

Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location.

Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
