This role is focused on supplier industrialization, mechanical manufacturing process excellence, equipment standardization, Bill of Equipment (BOE) development, yield improvement, and cost optimization for complex instrumentation and manufacturing platforms. The position will operate with a high degree of ownership across product transfers, supplier readiness, and sustained operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and optimization of mechanical manufacturing processes to improve quality, yield, throughput, and scalability
  • Drive manufacturing readiness for precision mechanical assemblies, electro-mechanical integration, machining, fabrication, assembly, test, and supplier production processes
  • Develop and maintain Bill of Equipment (BOE) standards, equipment templates, tooling requirements, and supplier capability expectations
  • Partner with R&D, Manufacturing Engineering, and Contract Manufacturers to influence DFM and DFA decisions during product transfers and new product introductions
  • Lead mechanical industrialization activities including process development, equipment selection, qualification support, pilot builds, and production ramp-up
  • Perform process capability studies, tolerance analysis, measurement system reviews, and manufacturing risk assessments
  • Conduct supplier capability assessments for mechanical processes, equipment maturity, capacity constraints, and operational risks

  • Experience with CAD, ERP, PLM, MES, document management, or manufacturing execution systems
  • Demonstrated ability to work with Contract Manufacturers and suppliers to improve technical capability and operational performance
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability with a structured, data-driven approach
  • Effective communication, documentation, and stakeholder influence skills in a global environment

Key Competencies

  • Strong process ownership with focus on scalability and robustness
  • Mechanical manufacturing expertise and technical depth
  • Continuous improvement mindset with execution discipline
