Position Summary

Analog Devices' Software & Digital Platforms (SDP) group is seeking an experienced Senior Program Manager with deep embedded software experience to oversee complex programs for next-generation MCU, DSP, and SoC products. The successful candidate will lead programs across the full product development lifecycle, spanning firmware, Linux and Zephyr software stacks, device drivers, Common HAL, ROM and boot software, BSPs, SDKs, middleware, security enablement, low-level I/O, and SoC/MCU platform development.

This role will work closely with SDP's Linux Factory, Zephyr Factory, ROM, Security, Common HAL, Unified SDK, and platform software organizations to ensure scalable, reusable, and high-quality software deliverables across multiple product families and business units. The candidate will drive disciplined execution and alignment between embedded software, silicon design, hardware engineering, validation, systems, applications, and customer-facing teams.

This position requires strong technical understanding of embedded systems and semiconductor development, exceptional leadership, a proactive management approach, and the ability to collaborate across highly technical, multi-disciplinary global teams. ADI thrives on positive, transparent, and solutions-oriented engagement, and this role requires exactly that.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • 7-10 years of hands-on Program Management, Project Management, or Technical Program Management experience managing embedded software programs, firmware platforms, silicon enablement programs, or semiconductor development initiatives.
  • Strong technical foundation with experience in several of the following:

Embedded Software and Platform Technologies

  • RTOS technologies including Zephyr, FreeRTOS, ThreadX, embOS, or VxWorks.
  • Linux kernel drivers, BSP development, device trees, Yocto/OpenEmbedded environments, and embedded Linux release processes.
  • Bootloaders, ROM software, secure boot chains, silicon initialization, and low-level peripheral drivers.
  • Power and clock management, SoC initialization, hardware bring-up, and platform enablement.
  • Common HAL, middleware, SDKs, reusable software frameworks, and software platform architectures.
  • Developer tools, SDK infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, software release governance, and software quality frameworks.

Semiconductor and System Experience

  • Experience working with MCUs, SoCs, ASICs, DSPs, wireless chipsets, PMICs, mixed-signal products, edge AI systems, or automotive controllers.
  • Strong understanding of semiconductor development lifecycles, silicon readiness milestones, and post-silicon validation workflows.
  • Understanding of New Product Introduction (NPI) processes for combined silicon and firmware programs.

Program Leadership

  • Demonstrated leadership, decision making, teamwork, interpersonal, and communication skills with a proven track record leading large multi-disciplinary engineering teams across multiple geographies and time zones.
  • Hands-on engineering background with prior experience developing firmware, writing drivers, integrating RTOS platforms, designing silicon blocks, or contributing to hardware board or system design.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve complex technical and organizational problems through structured experimentation and data-driven decision making.
  • Proficiency with modern program management and engineering tools including MS Project, Jira, Confluence, Jama Connect, Azure DevOps, and software lifecycle management systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate technical and program information for audiences ranging from engineers to executive leadership.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, complex dependencies, and aggressive delivery schedules.

Platform and Factory Enablement Experience

  • Experience working with software platform organizations responsible for Linux, Zephyr, ROM, SDK, security, tooling, or reusable software infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with factory-based software development models focused on standardization, scalability, reuse, developer productivity, and release quality.
  • Understanding of open-source development practices, upstream contribution strategies, and community engagement models.
  • Positive attitude, self-motivated, proactive, accountable, and results-oriented.

Additional Preferred Skills

  • Experience leading or supporting Linux Factory, Zephyr Factory, ROM, Security, Common HAL, Unified SDK, HDL Factory, or software platform initiatives.
  • Experience managing reusable software platforms deployed across multiple product lines and business units.
