While being part of the proposition organization you will also head up and run the Altersvorsorgedepot team. It is building one of our most strategic new product propositions, creating a scalable, compliant and customer-centred retirement offering that will shape how clients invest for their future.

About your role
You’ll take end-to-end responsibility for delivering scalable, performant, clean, and maintainable solutions for our pension products. Partnering closely with product owners, business analysts, and UX Designers, you’ll build solutions and journeys that create real value for our clients in the financial sector.

Your key responsibilities include:

• spearheading a squad of engineers with a focus on agile delivery
• Designing and coding technical solution designs, gathering and analysing requirements
• Planning agile sprints and coordination with release management
• Driving architectural improvements and refactoring initiatives
• Managing technical  vendors and ensuring technical alignment across products. Collaborating closely with delivery leads, analysts, technical support teams and business stakeholders

About you

You have strong experience in business analysis, journey design or requirements management within financial services, ideally in a regulated investment, platform, pension or retirement context.
You are confident working across business, operations and technology teams and can translate complex rules, processes and product requirements into clear, structured deliverables. You bring a strong customer lens, but also understand the importance of operational feasibility and regulatory precision.
You are comfortable mapping end-to-end journeys, identifying dependencies and driving clarity in environments where products and processes are still being built.
Experience working on digital transformation or product delivery in cross-functional squads would be highly valuable.

You’re someone who is eager to grow - in both knowledge and leadership. You thrive in a collaborative environment and have technical expertise to guide others.

            You’ll succeed in this role if you have:

•           Extensive hands-on experience as a full-stack software engineer, ideally in in Java EE-based web applications

•           A commitment to high-quality, maintainable code

•           Practical experience with web MVC frameworks (preferably Spring MVC and Struts), and API design

•           Solid knowledge of ORM frameworks and relational databases (preferably Hibernate/JPA and Oracle RDBMS)

•           A proactive mindset - you refactor and improve code as you go

•           Exposure to microservice architecture and cloud technologies(ideally AWS)

•           Strong communication skills across all levels and teams

•           Fluency in both German (must be B2 or above) and English
