About the Role

This position is for a Principal Software Engineer with 10+ years of mobile apps experience. The position requires a self-motivated individual with a strong desire to succeed/excel whose main responsibility is designing and developing mobile apps products. As a Principal Software Engineer the candidate is expected to take a leading role in architecture design and get involved in daily development activities.  Other responsibilities include following company processes and procedures for firmware development and working closely in a team environment. This individual should have a strong, positive attitude and the ability to easily multitask and provide advice/support to other engineers. They should also possess strong verbal and written communication skills.

What You Will Do

• Provide technical leadership in end to end design, development, and testing of mobile apps.
• Work with technical leads, managers and product stakeholders to define and manage the technical roadmap.
• Prepare and present potential technical solutions and advise the business on approach and tradeoffs.
• Work with developers, business analysts and subject matter experts to understand the complex technological system in order to produce integrated end-to-end solution options.
• Communicate solution approaches to enterprise architects, project team and other stakeholders.
• Keep up-to-date on cutting edge technologies and effectively incorporate that knowledge to our platform roadmap, design and implementation.
• Define the technical requirements for the implementation of the mobile apps solution.
• Preparing technical solutions and architecture documents, artifacts, work products and presentations for the customer.
• Develop, test, and optimize mobile Html5 pages, business feature pages, Hybrid pages, and WebView-based frontend features.
• Identify and resolve common mobile frontend issues, including responsive layout, safe area handling, keyboard behavior, scroll locking, touch interactions, and WebView compatibility.
• Design, build, and maintain reusable frontend components, business modules, utilities, and shared capabilities to improve development efficiency, code quality, and maintainability.

What You Need to Be Successful

• Bachelor degree or above in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering. Master degree is preferred.
• 10+ years of mobile application software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience building consumer facing mobile NATIVE (Android) and HYBRID solutions.
• A thorough understanding of Android, architecture, OOP, design patterns, and experience in mobile application integration.
• Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript, with a solid understanding of browser rendering mechanisms, event handling, asynchronous programming, and other frontend fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience with at least one mainstream frontend framework, such as Vue, React, or Angular.
• Experience with TypeScript, large-scale frontend projects, component libraries, or common SDK development is preferred.
• Experience with the Vue ecosystem is preferred, including Vue Router, Pinia/Vuex, Vue CLI/Vite, and a solid understanding of Vue core concepts such as reactivity, lifecycle, virtual DOM, diffing, template compilation, and rendering updates.
• Excellent skills of Java/Kotlin, or Objective-C/Swift; and expert in Android Studio or XCode.
• Deep knowledge of scalability, security and maintainability of high volume mobile applications.
• Experience with mobile apps analytics.
• Expert in SVN, Git CLI / Tools; good understanding of AI and hands‑on experience using AI development tools such as GitHub Copilot.
• Knowledge of HTTPS, UPnP, RESTful API, WebSocket and JSON, XML.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment to meet project deadlines, and a strong desire to excel in an environment with high-quality engineers.
• Strong consciousness of product quality and improvement.
• Experience overseeing team members.
