About the role:
We are looking for an experienced Practice Support Manager to join our Business Advisory team in Perth.
This is a key operational role within the practice, partnering closely with Partners and senior leaders to support the effective day-to-day management of the team. You’ll have oversight across practice operations, financial performance, workflow, people coordination and process improvement, helping ensure the team operates efficiently while delivering an exceptional experience for our clients.
You’ll be someone who enjoys bringing structure to a busy environment, understands the commercial drivers of a professional services practice and is confident working with senior stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Collaborate with Partners and senior leaders to support the day-to-day operations of the Business Advisory practice
- Coordinate workflows, resourcing and competing priorities across the team
- Support the financial performance of the practice, including budgeting, forecasting, billing, work in progress (WIP), debtor management and reporting
- Monitor key practice metrics and provide meaningful insights to Partners and senior stakeholders
- Support workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding and broader people initiatives across the practice
- Work closely with team members to maintain a positive, collaborative and high-performing environment
- Support client administration and service delivery processes to ensure a consistent and high-quality client experience
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve systems and enhance practice efficiency
- Coordinate operational projects and initiatives across the team
- Contribute to practice planning, growth initiatives and broader Business Advisory priorities
About you:
You’ll be a highly organised and commercially minded professional who enjoys working at the centre of a busy professional services practice.
You will ideally bring:
- Previous experience in practice management, operations, business management or a similar role
- Experience within accounting, professional services, consulting or another client-focused environment
- Strong commercial and financial acumen, with experience across areas such as budgeting, billing, WIP, debtors and financial reporting
- Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong stakeholder management skills and confidence working closely with Partners and senior leaders
- A collaborative and supportive approach to working with and coordinating teams
- Strong systems capability and confidence working with practice management, reporting and CRM systems
- A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accountability
- Tertiary qualifications in business, commerce, management or a related discipline would be highly regarded
