Job Duties 

This is an opportunity to build and lead AXQ’s global systematic futures business from the ground up and develop it into a core pillar of the firm. As Head of Systematic Futures, you will set the direction and own the outcome, with the firm’s shared research platform, data, technology and execution capabilities behind you from day one. Your mandate spans:

• Setting the investment and research direction for systematic futures
• Partnering with trading and technology teams to build advanced data, execution, and infrastructure capabilities for systematic futures
• Recruiting, developing, and leading a team of futures-focused quantitative researchers
• Building systematic strategies across global futures markets and trading horizons
• Owning the live futures portfolios, risk management, and performance
• Fostering cross-team collaboration to build shared edge across asset classes

Qualifications

• knowledge of global futures markets
• Track record of building strategies, frameworks, or teams that scaled beyond your own contribution
• Experience hiring and leading quantitative researchers, or clear readiness to do so
• Strong technical fundamentals and a rigorous quantitative research background
• Entrepreneurial mindset paired with scientific rigor and a strong sense of ownership
• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD from a top-tier university in a quantitative or technical field

The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is $200,000 to $300,000, depending on prior experience and qualifications. We offer highly competitive total compensation with significant performance-based upside tied to the success and growth of the systematic futures business.
