PMO Tools and Automation Specialist (Solventum) (m/f/x)*

The Impact You’ll Make in this Role 
 

As a PMO Reporting and Automation Analyst, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse stakeholders across regions. Here, you will make an impact by: 

  • Building and maintaining PMO reporting, dashboards, trackers, workflows, and automation solutions that improve visibility, accuracy, and decision-making across strategic IT programs. 

  • Applying analytical skills to interpret portfolio and program data, identify trends, data gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement, and translate insights into clear reporting outputs for PMO and IT stakeholders. 

  • Developing and improving work processes, templates, documentation, and tool-enabled solutions using Smartsheet, Power BI, Microsoft Office Suite, and Jira to reduce manual effort and improve consistency. 

  • Supporting program managers and PMO leadership with governance materials, status reporting, action tracking, metrics, documentation, operating status and executive-ready updates that help ensure project objectives and deadlines are met. 

  • Understanding data sources, performing required mapping/cleansing to load data in the identified toolset 

  • Implementing scalable reporting and workflow automation using Smartsheet, Power BI, Microsoft Office Suite, and Jira to reduce manual effort and improve data accuracy 

  • Determining trends, data gaps, reporting inconsistencies, and portfolio insights that help PMO and IT leaders make faster, better-informed decisions 

  • Enhance reporting solutions based on usage, user feedback, latest features 

  • Embed AI/automation trends to toolset to improve efficiency and scalability 

  • Working with cross functional stakeholders across business and IT to understand reporting requirements, translate those into technical development steps and drive tool development (or support tool development with external partners) 

  • Collaborating with India, US, and EU-based teams, including regular working-hour overlap with international stakeholders, to enable timely reporting and decision support 

 

Your Skills and Expertise 

 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires at a minimum the following qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher and 4-7 years of experience in IT consulting, business intelligence, automation, PMO reporting, business analysis, project coordination, data analytics, or IT operations support roles. 

 

In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required: 

  • Hands-on experience building and maintaining reports, dashboards, sheets, forms, workflows, templates, automations, and portfolio views in Smartsheet. 

  • Experience creating reports, dashboards, metrics, visualizations, presentations, and data summaries using Power BI, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and related Microsoft Office tools. 

  • Experience working with project, program, or portfolio data including milestones, risks, issues, dependencies, actions, decisions, resources, financials, and status reporting. 

  • Strong analytical, documentation, coordination, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to interpret data, identify process gaps, support improvements, and communicate difficult information clearly. 

  • Ability to work independently under broadly defined processes and tools, collaborate with program managers and stakeholders, support India, US, and EU stakeholder collaboration. 

 

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include: 

 

  • Smartsheet certification, Power BI certification, Microsoft certification, Agile/Scrum certification, or related analytics, automation, or process improvement credential. 

  • Experience supporting IT PMO, enterprise portfolio reporting, transformation programs, governance routines, or global delivery teams. 

  • Experience with Jira reporting, issue tracking, data exports, workflow tracking, or integration of project data across multiple tools. 

  • Working knowledge of data quality, reporting governance, process documentation, testing, change tracking, and continuous improvement practices. 

  • Skills include attention to detail, analytical curiosity, customer focus, process orientation, clear communication, collaboration, adaptability, and a continuous improvement mindset.
