PLANT SITE DIRECTOR - CARROLLTON, TX
OVERVIEW:
The Plant Site Director will manage all aspects of plant operations, including production, quality control, maintenance, and personnel management for a facility with 150 or more employees. This role requires a strategic leader who can optimize processes, improve productivity, and maintain high standards of food safety and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will be adept at shaping a positive workplace culture, managing collaboratively and proactively, and understanding operations, finances, and metrics to drive performance.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Oversee daily operations of the food manufacturing plant to ensure production schedules are met.
Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency, productivity, and profitability.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, quality standards, and health and safety policies.
Manage and lead plant staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.
Shape and foster a positive workplace culture that emphasizes safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Promote collaborative and proactive management practices to engage and motivate the workforce.
Monitor production processes and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Develop and manage the plant budget, including cost control and financial planning.
Analyze and understand operational details, financial metrics, and performance data to make informed decisions.
Collaborate with the quality assurance team to maintain high product quality standards.
Oversee maintenance of plant equipment and facilities to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
Prepare and present reports on plant performance, production metrics, and operational issues to senior management.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 6 years of experience in plant management within the food manufacturing industry.
In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and quality standards.
Proven experience in process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Strong financial acumen and budget management experience.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in manufacturing software and systems.
