Physical Therapist – Weekday Outpatient Position
Fort Pierce, Florida
Salary: $88K–$95K per year, depending on experience
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM
Patient Load: Approximately 1–2 patients per hour
Setting: Orthopedic Outpatient Physical Therapy
Here’s What the Job Actually Involves
You may spend the morning working with a patient several weeks out from knee surgery, then see someone dealing with shoulder pain that is affecting their job. Another appointment may be focused on rebuilding strength after an injury.
As the Physical Therapist, you’ll determine what treatment makes sense for each case rather than following the same routine for every patient.
You’ll be responsible for the clinical side of care from the first visit through the end of therapy.
Main Duties
- Perform orthopedic physical therapy assessments
- Identify problems affecting movement and physical activity
- Plan treatment around the patient’s current needs
- Guide strengthening, flexibility, mobility, and balance exercises
- Use appropriate hands-on treatment techniques
- Increase or reduce exercise difficulty when necessary
- Track functional changes during the course of therapy
- Teach safe movement and exercise techniques
- Maintain clear clinical records
- Determine when a patient is ready to transition out of supervised therapy
Requirements
- Active PT License
- Doctor of Physical Therapy or MSPT Degree
- Outpatient experience
- Experience working with orthopedic patients
Benefits
Health Insurance, Dental & Vision Insurance, 401(k) with Company Match, and 3 Weeks PTO.
For PTs looking for a regular weekday schedule without leaving orthopedic care, this Fort Pierce opening may be a strong fit.
