Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist Float Casual to join our team in Nevada and surrounding areas, to include, but not limited to Las Vegas, North Las Vegas, Henderson, and Pahrump.

Work Schedule: This is a casual/PRN position for no more than 19 hours per week. Hours will be "as needed" but the start and end times will vary from Monday – Saturday 7:00 am – 6:00 pm.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed

 Minimum Qualifications:

• Nevada state issued laboratory assistant license

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 year or more experience as a phlebotomist
• Current or Prior Labcorp experience
• 1 year or more experience drawing on pediatrics to geriatrics

Additional Job Standards:

• In lieu of state license requirement listed above, an application for a lab assistant license filed with the NV Department of Health at time of hire may meet license requirement

• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Be at least 21 years of age
• Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
• Reliable transportation
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

As a Float Phlebotomist Casual, you will have the opportunity to quickly gain a vast amount of experience.  You will be working with a variety of patients, team members, and clinics/locations.  This unique role will allow you to develop your skills and set you up for opportunities and continuous growth within the organization.  If you like variety, this role is perfect for you! 

Pay Range: $17.75 - $27.69 per hour

All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data. 

Float Incentive: Additional $1.00/hr plus mileage reimbursement
