Your impact
We're looking for an AI-native Performance Marketing Lead to own paid acquisition across three lanes: filling and optimizing our self-serve funnel, running ABM and retargeting across social, and building awareness in a category where competitors have a much larger share of voice.
This role spans paid search and paid social (LinkedIn, Meta, X, Reddit). You’ll work closely with the VP of Marketing, GTM engineering, and sales. It's a hands-on role: you'll build the campaign, write the copy, ship the landing page, and report on the data yourself.
What you'll do
Fill and optimize the self-serve funnel as a feeder for sales
Own paid search as the primary acquisition engine for self-serve signups - keyword strategy, competitor capture, landing page testing, and continuous efficiency work against high-intent developer queries
Optimize the full path from click through signup and activation, treating first successful API call and early usage as the qualification signal that routes an account to sales
Partner with sales to define what makes a self-serve signup worth a conversation, and tune acquisition toward accounts that meet that bar rather than raw volume
Build the reporting that follows a click through signup, activation, sales handoff, and closed revenue
Run ABM and retargeting programs across social
Execute account-based campaigns on LinkedIn, Meta, and X against target account lists sourced from GTM engineering - you'll partner with them on what you need and how it's segmented
Produce the creative these campaigns run on - write the copy and build lightweight assets yourself where you can, and scope, brief, and manage freelancers or agency partners where you can't
Design multi-touch retargeting sequences that keep us in front of accounts already in the funnel, coordinated with sales outreach rather than running parallel to it
Measure and report account engagement and pipeline influence using multi-touch attribution tools
Build brand awareness through display and upper-funnel media
Run display and awareness campaigns that build recognition with developers and founders before they start actively evaluating
Extend reach through developer-native placements - newsletters, podcasts, technical publications, and community sponsorships
Develop upper-funnel creative and messaging in partnership with product marketing, and sustain enough variant volume that performance doesn't decay
Establish sensible measurement for brand work - reach, share of voice, branded search lift, and self-serve signup trends
What you'll bring
3–5 years hands-on in performance marketing, with demonstrated depth in both paid search and paid social
Experience marketing to a developer audience in prior roles
Experience marketing a self-serve product that feeds a sales motion
Prior hands-on experience with X and Google DV360 are a plus
Power user of Claude Code or equivalent, thinking in terms of agents and systems
We're deliberately open on background. Three paths we'd be glad to see:
Agency - you've run search and social across many accounts and budgets, you move fast, and you've seen more experiments than any single in-house role would give you
CPG or consumer brand - you understand creative velocity, audience testing, and how to build awareness for something people aren't yet searching for
B2B SaaS - you know ABM, LinkedIn targeting, and how marketing spend ladders up to a pipeline number sales will actually accept
Candidates must be based in the SF Bay Area or willing to relocate (you will be working on-site in our South Bay office a few days a week).
The base salary range for this full-time position is $140,000 - $190,000+ bonus + equity + benefits.
