Position Overview
Chenango Memorial Hospital – Norwich, NYPay Range: $91.86–$107.20 per hour
Chenango Memorial Hospital is seeking an experienced Per Diem Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Emergency Department (ED) team. This role is ideal for a confident and capable advanced practice provider who thrives in a fast‑paced, high‑acuity environment and values flexibility in scheduling.

Position Highlights
- Per Diem schedule with flexibility
- Competitive hourly pay: $91.86–$107.20
- Collaborative ED environment within a supportive community hospital
- Work alongside physicians, APPs, nurses, and multidisciplinary clinical teams
Responsibilities
- Provide high‑quality, patient‑centered care in a busy Emergency Department
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage a broad spectrum of acute and urgent conditions
- Perform appropriate procedures within scope
- Order, interpret, and act on diagnostic studies
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Collaborate with ED physicians, hospitalists, and ancillary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Active NYS license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- Minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience required
- Prior Emergency Department or urgent care experience strongly preferred
- Strong critical thinking, decision‑making, and procedural skills
- Excellent communication and patient‑care abilities
- Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment
