The Injury Prevention Specialist is responsible for the implementation of injury prevention throughout ProMedica Ebeid Children’s Hospital (ECH), including the Kids in Safe Seats (KISS) program for child passenger safety. They will act as a resource to partner with community agencies and other ProMedica entities to develop community injury prevention and education initiatives, conduct research and evaluation studies on timely injury and trauma-related topics, and seek program funding through grants, community donations, and in-kind donations.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor’s degree in public health or a related field or a minimum of 2 years experience as a certified child passenger safety technician
Skills: Microsoft Office suite, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Must have reliable transportation to the entire service area and a clean driving record. Maintain knowledge of community resources. Experience working with children, caregivers, and the public. Experience in public speaking and conducting presentations. Experience with grant search, writing and programming.
