Why Work with Us?
At Pearl, we’re not just another recruiting firm—we connect you with exceptional opportunities to work alongside visionary US and EU founders. Our focus is on placing you in roles where you can grow, make an impact, and build a long-term career. We believe in creating environments where your potential is recognized, your voice matters, and your success is tied to meaningful work—not short-term perks. Joining Pearl means stepping into opportunities that challenge you, support you, and set you up for lasting success.
Purpose of Your Role
You'll become the main finance point of contact for both of our founders. You'll sit between our financial advisors (CPAs, lawyers, and external accounting partners) and our internal leadership team, translating complexity into clarity so that finance never slows down our growth.
You'll also be a thought partner to the CEO as we scale, helping us build the financial infrastructure and decision-making tools we need to go from a few million to tens of millions in revenue.
Role Overview
The Finance Operations Associate will own our day-to-day financial operations while driving improvements across our systems, processes, and financial reporting. You'll manage everything from contractor payroll to financial dashboards and play a key role in how we think about budgeting, spend, and investment across Pearl's divisions.
Key Responsibilities
Systems Optimization and Automation
Audit our current finance workflows and identify manual processes that can be automated or streamlined.
Lead the implementation of upgraded financial systems where current solutions are outdated or underperforming.
Build repeatable, scalable processes that reduce operational overhead as Pearl grows.
Identify and cut spend on SaaS tools that are underutilized or redundant across the company.
Contractor Management
Own the end-to-end process of onboarding contractors into our payroll system, keeping records accurate and up to date.
Maintain a clear, auditable log of contractor compensation including salaries, bonuses, and any adjustments.
Coordinate with relevant team leads to make sure payment timing and accuracy are on track.
Invoicing and Accounts Receivable
Coordinate with our external accounting firm to make sure client invoices go out accurately and on schedule.
Track outstanding invoices and follow up proactively on overdue balances.
Maintain clean accounts receivable records and flag aging issues to leadership before they become problems.
Financial Dashboarding and Strategy
Own and maintain Pearl's financial dashboards so leadership always has an accurate view of company performance.
Build financial models that help each of our divisions make smarter decisions, including unit economics like candidate acquisition cost, client acquisition cost, and revenue per placement.
Partner directly with the founders on budgeting conversations: where to double down, where to cut, and how to allocate resources across teams as we scale.
Prepare ad-hoc financial analyses to support strategic decisions as they come up.
Requirements
Experience working at a fast-paced startup where you've had to build processes from scratch.
Strong financial modeling skills and a strategic mindset. You're comfortable going from spreadsheet to recommendation.
High attention to detail with the ability to communicate the big picture to non-finance stakeholders.
Proactive and autonomous. You find the problem before anyone asks.
Prior experience in bookkeeping or accounting is a plus but not required. What matters more is your systems-thinking, your ownership mentality, and your ability to learn fast.

- Quarterly performance bonus
- Fully remote, forever
- Annual team retreat
- Unlimited PTO
- Real-world experience in recruitment marketing and sourcing
- A behind-the-scenes look at how we connect people with opportunities
- A supportive team that values your growth and ideas
