Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens opened in March 2019 and provides a preferred address for both business and leisure travelers, and the highly personalized, anticipatory service that Four Seasons guests expect and value around the world. The Arion Hotel was built in 1967 and has 106 keys and 61 Bungalows, and the Nafsika opened in 1980 and has 136 keys. Under the same ownership is a large private beach club and marina. Nafsika is open through the year, while Arion and the bungalows operate eight months of the year. Adding to the complement of on-site F&B operations (8 Restaurants and Bars), there are also two third party restaurants on site.

About the Role

At Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens (ranked No. 17 in the World’s 50 Best Hotels), we are committed to exceptional culinary standards, innovation, and operational excellence. We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Pastry Chef de Partie to join our team and contribute to our award-winning culinary operation.

This is a unique opportunity to join Pelagos, our Michelin-starred restaurant, working alongside Chef Luca Piscazzi and his team. You will contribute to refined and creative pastry creations while developing your craft in a high-quality fine dining environment and upholding the exceptional standards of Four Seasons.

What You Will Do

• Prepare and supervise the production of pastry items, desserts, and other creations in accordance with the standards and recipes set by the Pastry Chef.

• Participate in the preparation and execution of tasting menus, ensuring consistency, precision, and the highest quality standards.

• Support the Pastry Chef and Assistant Pastry Chef in the development and execution of new pastry creations and menu items.

• Supervise and support pastry colleagues during daily operations, promoting teamwork, motivation, and a positive working environment.

• Demonstrate strong time management and organizational skills to ensure all production is completed efficiently and to the required standards.

• Ensure the correct handling, storage, preparation, and use of ingredients, while maintaining excellent product quality and minimizing waste.

• Maintain the pastry kitchen and all equipment in a clean, organized, and safe manner, in line with hygiene and sanitation standards.

• Support the production of special occasion cakes, centrepieces, and other pastry creations when required.

• Apply a strong understanding of pastry techniques, including yeasted products, laminated dough, chocolate, sugar, pastillage, and decorative techniques.

• Ensure the proper use, maintenance, and cleaning of all pastry equipment and workstations.

• Work closely with the wider Kitchen and Service teams to ensure smooth coordination and execution of pastry offerings.

What You Bring

• Previous experience as a Chef de Partie within a luxury hotel, fine dining restaurant, or high-end pastry operation.

• Strong technical knowledge of pastry and dessert production, with a genuine passion for the craft.

• Experience with advanced pastry techniques, including laminated dough, chocolate, sugar, decorative techniques, and plated desserts.

• Ability to work confidently in a fast-paced, high-quality culinary environment while maintaining consistency and attention to detail.

• Demonstrated ability to support, motivate, and train junior pastry colleagues.

• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• A positive, collaborative, and hands-on approach to teamwork.

• Strong commitment to hygiene, food safety, and maintaining exceptional kitchen standards.

• Excellent attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality culinary experiences.

• Excellent command of the English language.
