The Technical Information Solutions (TIS) team within Product Support & Logistics Division (PSLD) creates and delivers technical parts and service information accessible via SIS and SIS2GO critical for the repair and service of Caterpillar products. Over 300,000 dealer and customer users depend on the information created, managed, and delivered by this team to identify and order Cat parts.  

Job Summary   

In TIS, the Parts Information Graphic Specialist creates and maintains technical parts information for Caterpillar products. 

What You Will Do 

• Creates and revises technical parts information graphics in support of new product introduction, continuous process improvement, and revision timelines. 

• Ensures all parts information graphics are created accurately and participates in process improvement efforts. 

• Validates prints to ensure information elements are documented as per Caterpillar standards. 

• Validate the relevant part has a clear and descriptive graphics associated with the part. 

What You Have  

• Technical Excellence: Demonstrated knowledge of Caterpillar product structure, engineering databases (Teamcenter, HVC), and parts information databases (Windchill authoring system), and graphic creation tools (Creo, Canvas). 

• Effective Communication: Delivers helpful feedback that focuses on behaviors without offending the recipient. Listens to feedback without defensiveness and uses it for own performance effectiveness. Independently makes oral presentations and written reports needed for own work. Leads meetings and teams effectively. 

• Collaboration & Engagement: Ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with peers and other relevant stakeholders.  

• Customer Focus: Knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.
