Part Time Nanny – Cerritos, CA

A welcoming family in Cerritos, CA 90703 is looking for an engaging and energetic part-time nanny to care for their 1-year-old child. The caregiver will focus on providing attentive, age-appropriate care while supporting the child's daily routines and developmental milestones in a warm, comfortable home environment. Please note that the family is temporarily living in Cerritos and plans to move to a nearby surrounding city (ideally within 5 miles) in the coming months, so willingness to transition to the new location is appreciated.

Schedule:

• Tuesday and Thursday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (16 hours per week)
• Potential for flexibility to shift to a Monday/Wednesday/Friday schedule depending on candidate availability and family needs

Family Specifications:

• One (1) dog in the home (mixed breed)
• Smoke-free home
• Family values a caregiver who loves arts & crafts, reading, games, and music
• Candidate should be flexible to work in Cerritos initially, as well as the new nearby household location upon the family's upcoming local move

Responsibilities:

• Plan and prepare nutritious meals and snacks for the child, and assist with feeding
• Lead interactive arts & crafts, music, reading, and educational activities tailored to 1-year-old developmental milestones
• Assist with diapering and potty training routines
• Provide general toddler supervision, engagement, and gentle care

Requirements:

• Proven experience in professional childcare or nanny roles with toddlers
• Personal vehicle for reliable transportation to and from the job (driving on the job is not required)

Preferred:

• Background or strong personal interest in early childhood education, crafts, music, and interactive play
• Prior experience providing care to 1-year-old children
• CPR/first aid certified
• Comfortable working in a home with a dog

Compensation:

• $20-$25 per hour (commensurate with experience)
