Venus Aerospace is seeking a highly motivated paralegal to provide high‑level legal and administrative support to the General Counsel and the broader Legal function. This role requires significant experience, strong organizational skills, and deep familiarity with the requirements of operating in a defense, aerospace, government, or government‑adjacent setting. This position is fully remote.
What You’ll Get To Do
- Support contract drafting, review, redlining, and lifecycle management, including tracking deadlines, obligations, and approvals.
- Assist with managing corporate governance artifacts, including board consents, resolutions, subsidiary records, and regulatory filings.
- Coordinate execution of government and commercial agreements and maintain structured documentation repositories.
- Conduct legal and factual research, including government procurement requirements, FAR/DFARS citations, regulatory updates, and compliance obligations.
- Prepare, manage, and organize materials for audits, government inquiries, and compliance reviews (e.g., CUI, cybersecurity, export controls).
- Support the development and implementation of internal processes, templates, and policy frameworks.
- Assist the General Counsel with due diligence, financing activities, and management of board-related documentation.
- Coordinate with outside counsel, including litigation, IP, corporate, and regulatory counsel.
- Help prepare presentations, reports, and summaries for executive leadership.
What You Have
- 8–10+ years of paralegal experience in a law firm, corporate legal department, or government setting.
- Active paralegal certification or degree (e.g., ABA‑approved paralegal certificate, associate’s or bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies, or equivalent).
- Demonstrated experience supporting legal work in a defense, aerospace, government, or government‑adjacent environment.
- Strong understanding of government contracting processes, FAR/DFARS, procurement workflows, and compliance obligations.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
- Exacting attention to detail, impeccable judgment, and strong writing and communication skills.
- Experience interacting with senior executives, technical teams, and external counsel.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑moving environment and operate independently.
What Will Set You Apart
- Experience with aerospace or defense contractors, federal programs, or regulated technology companies.
- Familiarity with CUI handling, cybersecurity frameworks, and export control requirements.
- Experience supporting financing transactions, IP matters, or litigation.
- Proficiency with document‑management systems, contract lifecycle management (CLM) tools, and collaboration platforms.
