Description of Work
Black Mountain Neuro-Medical Treatment Center (BMNTC) is currently accepting applications for a Painter. We are seeking skilled, detail-oriented painters to join our Maintenance Department. The primary responsibility is to maintain the interior of the facility and all outlying campus buildings by performing patching, painting, and repair tasks. Your work will help ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment for our residents and staff.Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences
Salary Range: $31,200.00 - $53,812.00
Recruitment Range: $31,200.00 - $51,807.00

The Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)/ Management Preferences are not required. Applicants who possess the following skills are preferred:
Working knowledge of the standard practices and methods of the painting trade
Demonstrated skill in the use and care of tools and equipment used in the painting trade
Demonstrated experience in patching and repairing holes
This position is designated as "mandatory" and must report or stay over during adverse weather events.
About Black Mountain Neuro-Medical Treatment Center:
Black Mountain Neuro-Medical Treatment Center is one of three state operated facilities serving adults with chronic and complex medical conditions that co-exist with neurodevelopmental or neurocognitive disorders often related to a diagnosis of severe and persistent mental illness or intellectual disability. The health and physical status of these residents require 24-hour supervision, daily nursing care, and assistance with activities of daily living.

Minimum Education and Experience

High School or General Educational Development (GED) Diploma
or
a sufficient year-for-year combination of education and experience associated with a variety of mechanical or building trades;

an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Necessary Special Qualification
May require current certification by the Environmental Protection Agency as a Type I, II, III or Universal technician as required by Title 40, Code of Federal Regulations Part 82, Subpart F.
