A Day in The Life…
Reporting into the VP of Marketing, the Paid Search & YouTube Lead is responsible formanaging & executing a clear strategy across paid Google & Bing tactics to drive efficient growth for one of London fastest growing D2C ecommerce start-ups! In this role you’ll plan, launch & manage campaigns across all Google and Bing ad placements to drive new customer acquisition along with cross-sell opportunities and customer loyalty, at efficient CPA’s.

You’ll also help shape how PetLabCo. reaches customers through large language models (LLMs) and AI-powered search. Working closely with our content, SEO and ecommerce teams, you’ll identify opportunities to improve product discovery and turn emerging platforms into measurable growth channels.

Your day to day will look a little bit like this…

• Develop and execute effective strategies across Google/Bing tactics, including paid search, YouTube, Performance Max, and Google Display, to scale new customer acquisition.
• Manage the GMC feed/product performance to drive growth on Google Shopping.
• Use of reporting, analytics, and trend tools daily to make strategic recommendations to optimise performance and improve CPA, ROAS, etc.
• Drive cross-sells and customer loyalty through retargeting across Google placements.  
• Oversee the international expansion of the brand across search engines. 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as paid and organic social, CRM, video production, copywriting and CRO to create cohesive digital marketing strategies, along with A/B test opportunities.
• Build and test strategies to improve PetLab Co.’s visibility across LLMs and AI search platforms, including ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity.
• Partner with SEO, content and ecommerce teams to improve how our products are understood, cited and recommended in AI-generated answers.
• Track brand visibility, referral traffic and conversions from AI search, using structured tests to identify opportunities that can drive efficient new customer acquisition.
• Evaluate emerging advertising and shopping opportunities across AI platforms as they become available, with clear testing budgets and success measures.
• Stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in paid search advertising and digital advertising.
• Manage a small team of specialists and provide guidance and mentorship to help them grow and develop their skills.
• Build a strong partnership with our reps at Google and other platforms.  

Requirements

What You Need…

• 5+ years’ relevant experience
• Experience managing large-scale campaigns across multiple ad placements/tactics (Search, Shopping, YouTube, Google Display) with monthly campaign budgets of $450K+
• Experience or a strong working knowledge of marketing through LLMs and AI-powered search, with an understanding of how customers use these platforms to research products and make purchase decisions.
• Familiarity with generative engine optimisation (GEO) and answer engine optimisation (AEO), including the role of useful content, product information and credible third-party mentions in brand discovery.
• Highly motivated with experience in performance marketing working to set KPIs.
• Extremely organized with the ability to juggle multiple activities at once.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anlyze complex data sets and draw actionable insights.
• Great communicator.
