About the Pipeline Generation Team
The Pipeline Generation team builds the system that turns market signal into qualified pipeline for the Account Executive team across APAC. This is a founding, AI-first function: a small group of operators who design and run an automated prospecting motion instead of a manual outbound desk. What this team proves in Singapore becomes the playbook the wider region runs.
About the Role
The Outbound Strategist runs Mixpanel's AI-driven prospecting system to deliver qualified, Account-Executive-accepted pipeline across APAC. You will operate the outbound engine day to day: building target lists, running campaigns, supervising AI agents that research prospects and draft first-touch outreach, and applying a critical eye so only genuinely qualified opportunities reach an Account Executive. You will work inside targeting logic and quality bars set with the team, sharpen them as you learn what converts, and help document what works. Success is qualified pipeline and system leverage, measured on outcomes rather than activity.
Responsibilities
- Run outbound and prospecting campaigns that produce qualified opportunities for the Account Executive team, owning the flow from signal to accepted handoff.
- Build target lists and enrichment inputs against a defined ideal customer profile, and keep data clean so leads move end to end with minimal manual handling.
- Deploy and supervise AI agents for prospect research, list building, personalization, and first-touch drafting, keeping a human check on quality before anything ships.
- Qualify opportunities against the agreed bar with Account Executive input, so accepted opportunities convert and Account Executive time is protected from low-fit leads.
- Prioritize high-intent accounts using Mixpanel's own product-usage and self-serve signals.
- Analyze metrics to see what is working, and adjust targeting, messaging, and channel mix.
- Document what works and feed it into shared playbooks and templates.
We're Looking For Someone Who Has
- A hunter's instinct: proactively finds new pipeline and starts cold conversations, moving outreach forward with persistence rather than waiting on inbound.
- Consultative discovery skills: talks with customers as a trusted advisor, asks deep questions to understand the problem and qualify fit, and hands over a well-understood opportunity rather than a raw lead.
- Commercial presence: writes outbound that lands, and speaks credibly with technical buyers in the analytics and data space, framing Mixpanel's value in their terms.
- AI fluency: structures a problem into clear logic, designs prompts and workflows that produce reliable AI output, and reviews and corrects that output rather than shipping first-pass results.
- Hands-on comfort with modern outbound automation and enrichment tools (Clay or similar) and a CRM such as Salesforce, including building lists, working with simple logic and formulas, and reading analytics reports.
- Comfort working inside a system that is still being shaped, staying effective in ambiguity and measured on outcomes rather than activity.
- A background in B2B software pipeline generation, outbound, growth, or sales operations, with a track record of sourced or influenced pipeline, or equivalent experience.
Bonus Points For
- Experience at a product-led or self-serve B2B software company, using product-usage signals to drive outbound.
- Light technical ability: connecting tools with APIs, webhooks, or simple scripting.
- No-code or low-code automation experience.
- Familiarity with product analytics, Mixpanel or similar, as both a tool and a source of buying signal.
