Job Description

To provide operational, governance, risk and compliance support to the business by coordinating operational activities, monitoring key controls, tracking governance and regulatory actions, as well as supporting the implementation of business improvement initiatives. The role will contribute to the effective management of operational processes while supporting compliance with regulatory, risk, and governance requirements.

This is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract position.

Responsibilities

Operations Support

• Support the day-to-day operational activities of the business to ensure efficient service delivery.
• Assist in coordinating operational processes and resolving administrative or operational issues.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders to support service delivery and business objectives.
• Support the implementation and monitoring of operational improvement initiatives.
• Assist with project coordination, documentation and progress tracking.
• Prepare operational reports, presentations and management information as required.
• Provide support for facilities, supplier and business administration activities where required.

 

Risk, Compliance and Governance

• Coordinate and track Risk and Compliance activities across the business.
• Maintain risk registers, action trackers and governance reporting schedules.
• Monitor and follow up on risk mitigation actions and control environment activities.
• Track internal and external audit findings and corrective action plans.

• Support risk assessments, control monitoring, and remediation tracking.

• Coordinate policy reviews, attestations, approvals and document management activities.
• Prepare governance, risk and compliance reports for management review.
• Escalate overdue actions and governance issues where appropriate.

AML and Regulatory Compliance

• Support AML, KYC and regulatory compliance monitoring activities.
• Maintain compliance records and evidence repositories.
• Monitor regulatory action plans and reporting requirements.
• Support implementation of regulatory and compliance initiatives.
• Coordinate engagement with Compliance and Risk functions as required.

Data Protection and Information Governance

• Support Data Protection compliance activities and readiness initiatives.
• Maintain records of processing activities, action plans, and compliance trackers.
• Assist in monitoring compliance with data governance requirements.
• Support awareness and training initiatives relating to data protection and information governance.

 

Business Continuity and Operational Resilience

• Assist in maintaining Business Continuity and Operational Resilience frameworks.
• Exposure to risk, compliance, audit, governance or project coordination activities will be beneficial.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Risk Management, Compliance, Finance, Insurance, or a related field.
• 2-4 years' experience in operations, administration, governance, compliance, risk management or a related business support role.
• Experience within financial services or insurance will be an advantage.
• Exposure to risk, compliance, audit, governance or project coordination activities will be beneficial.
• Certificate of Proficiency (COP) Long Term Insurance (desired but not required).

Knowledge, Competencies and Skills

• Understanding of operational processes and business administration.
• Basic understanding of risk management and compliance principles.
• Knowledge of AML, KYC, Data Protection, and governance practices will be advantageous.
• Strong coordination, planning and organisational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
• Ability to analyse information, track actions and produce meaningful reports.
