We’re looking for an Operations Controller Manufacturing to be based at our Ecolab plant in the city of Victoria, Brasov County, to lead a team of experienced professionals. The Operations Controller Manufacturing is responsible for managing the financial administration of the plant and for providing plant leadership team with key financial data and analyses to enable decision making in a wide variety of operational and accounting decisions. Reporting to the Global Supply Chain Finance Director – Life Sciences, the role will take a lead position in controlling cost and forecasts for the plant.

What you will do

• Partner strategically with the Plant Manager to drive sound financial and operational decisions
• Lead and grow the site finance team, ensuring accurate financial reporting in line with US GAAP and statutory requirements
• Own month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end closing activities, delivering results under tight deadlines
• Manage site financial reporting and provide clear, insightful monthly management reports
• Lead plant budgeting and forecasting, including manufacturing and logistics costs, material losses, and price variances
• Collaborate closely with plant leadership to identify efficiency improvements and cost‑saving opportunities
• Establish strong financial controls, KPIs, and performance‑tracking processes to enhance plant performance
• Act as the key contact for auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies, ensuring compliance and governance
• Promote a culture of compliance, continuous improvement, and Health & Safety excellence

What are the requirements?

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
• Minimum of 5 years working experience in Finance in a multinational company, including plant finance experience
• Fluent English language skills – both verbal and written (additional language knowledge beneficial) 
• Strong knowledge of MS Excel and ERP systems (e.g. SAP experience)
• Willingness to travel (5-10%)
