Position Summary:
- Visit and trip coordination: Assist with the planning and coordination of faculty and leadership visits to China, including itineraries, meetings, institutional visits, schedules, and related logistics.
- Preparation of materials: Prepare and organize briefing notes, background information, meeting materials, presentations, agendas, and other documents for meetings and visits.
- Partnership support: Conduct background research on partner institutions and assist with the coordination and documentation of existing and prospective partnerships.
- MoU and agreement support: Assist with the preparation, review, formatting, and English-Chinese translation of Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs), agreements, and related correspondence and materials.
- Communication and correspondence: Assist with English- and Chinese-language communications with partner institutions, including drafting or translating emails and other correspondence.
- Program and event support: Provide organizational support for China-related academic programs, delegation visits, workshops, meetings, and other events.
- Undertake other related tasks in support of China-related programs and global engagement initiatives as needed.
Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities
- Strong proficiency in both Chinese and English, including excellent written communication skills;
- Strong research skills to conduct literature review, need assessment, program evaluation, exploratory applied research;
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail;
- Ability to communicate professionally with faculty members, administrators, students, and external partners;
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines;
- Familiarity with the education context in China;
- Experience with translation, international academic partnerships, event coordination, or administrative support is an asset.
Education/experience requirements:
- Master’s degree in education related programs
Additional qualifying skills and abilities:
- Teaching experience in mainland China and/or Hong Kong
