This position is designed for nursing students who have completed or are about to complete the Fundamentals of Nursing course.

📝 Position Overview
Under the direction of an RN or LPN, the Nurse Technician:

🎓 Training & Development
Our Patient Care Associate Training Program is an accredited U.S. Department of Labor Apprenticeship Program, offering hands-on experience in a supportive healthcare environment.
- 🕘 175-hour training program provided if no prior experience
- ✅ Training completed during new hire orientation
- ⏱️ Must be completed within 90 days of hire (per state guidelines)
- 🫀 BLS required within one month of hire
- ✅ PCA competencies completed within 3 months
✅ Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED, CNA/CPTC, enrollment in a healthcare high school program, or a current Mercy co-worker
- Experience: None required
- If enrolled in nursing school, please list this on your resume or application
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift up to 50 lbs
- Prolonged standing and walking
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat
