The Marketing & Community Coordinator owns marketing for the Nomad brand end to end — from go-to-market strategy, media, and PR to the authentic community relationships that make the brand credible in the field. This person is the voice, advocate, and connector between the brand and the hunting and outdoor community, while also leading the campaigns, media buys, and brand storytelling that grow awareness and drive sales. This is an entry-level opportunity for someone 1-2 years out of school who is ready to take ownership and run point on marketing for the Nomad brand from day one.
Primary Responsibilities
- Own the go-to-market calendar for the Nomad brand, aligning product, technical, and pattern storytelling across the full year
- Develop creative approaches to earn press coverage and grow reach through endemic and non-endemic PR placement and other non-paid outreach
- Partner with of brand ambassadors, guides, and creators; provide briefs to ensure content aligns with marketing goals
- Actively engage with customers, ambassadors, and partners through comments, DMs, forums, and other community channels
- Coordinate product seeding, field testing, and feedback loops with ambassadors and the community
- Support go-to-market launches by activating ambassadors and community members
- Implement brand collaborations, ensuring plans align with the overall marketing plan and creative assets are supplied
- Manage community-focused activations and in-market experiences, including the lodge program in target locations, ensuring full use of contracted exposure and marketing
- Coordinate marketing and advertising plans with the content team to ensure assets and timing are aligned for coordinated efforts
- Develop an integrated campaign calendar for the advertising plan as a shared tool for the team
- Collaborate with marketing and creative teams to source authentic field content
- Oversee marketing sample needs and coordinate with the team to fill requirements
- Collaborate with product and design teams to provide community and market insights on fit, function, and performance
- Manage donation requests, coordinating with the broader marketing and sales team on special needs
Brand Support
- Brief all Nomad creative needs to internal design team
- Provide input and support on lifestyle photography and video planning to ensure all items are shot correctly and within brand guidelines for a variety of uses
- Assist with sponsorships, tradeshows, consumer shows, and events as needed, coordinating with the overall marketing plan
- Coordinate with the marketing team to ensure assets are added and tagged to asset managent tools correctly and in a timely fashion
- Assist the Retail Marketing Manager on promotional products as needed
- Travel to photoshoots and events as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field, plus 1-2 years of relevant marketing, community, or brand experience (internships and campus leadership roles count)
- This is an entry-level role for a candidate who is ready to take the lead on running marketing for the Nomad brand and grow quickly with the position
- Familiarity with or genuine interest in the hunting sport and outdoor lifestyle is a plus, but not required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and general office software
- Exceptional time management and communication skills
- Comfortable working independently and taking ownership, as well as collaborating in a team environment
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with evolving deadlines and priorities
- Able to coordinate multiple projects at the same time and drive each to successful completion
- Skilled at establishing and achieving personal and team deadlines and goals
- Willing and able to work while traveling, remotely, or from a variety of office locations
- Confident presenting ideas in meetings or with customers is a plus
