Whom are we looking for
We are looking for an experienced Technical Delivery Lead to own the technical direction and delivery of a software product developed by three engineering teams.
You will directly manage two teams and will be the product’s primary technical authority, responsible for architecture, engineering standards, cross-team coordination, and technical delivery.
The role requires strong expertise in the Microsoft .NET ecosystem and the ability to guide teams in both architecture and implementation.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Architecture
- Own the product’s end-to-end technical direction and solution architecture.
- Lead architecture reviews, design discussions, and major technical decisions.
- Guide teams on .NET architecture, application design, APIs, integration, testing, performance, security, and maintainability.
- Establish and maintain common engineering standards across all teams.
- Balance feature delivery, technical debt, scalability, reliability, and long-term maintainability.
- Stay close enough to the codebase to provide practical technical guidance and challenge implementation decisions.
Team Leadership & Management
- Directly manage engineering teams.
- Provide technical leadership to all three teams involved in the project.
- Establish clear ownership across teams and system components.
- Mentor Tech Leads and Senior Engineers.
- Support teams in resolving complex technical issues and dependencies.
- Enable teams to work autonomously within a consistent architectural and engineering framework.
Cross-Team Delivery
- Coordinate technical dependencies, integrations, shared components, and releases.
- Ensure teams work as one engineering organization across company boundaries.
- Provide technical input into planning, estimation, prioritization, and sequencing.
- Identify and resolve technical risks and delivery blockers.
- Promote consistent practices for coding, code review, testing, CI/CD, documentation, observability, and quality.
Customer & Vendor Engagement
- Act as the primary technical counterpart for the customer.
- Represent the engineering teams in architecture, design, and technical planning discussions.
- Explain technical decisions, risks, and trade-offs clearly.
- Provide technical direction and governance to the vendor team.
- Ensure vendor contributions align with the product architecture and engineering standards.
Requirements
- Significant experience designing and delivering production software systems.
- Experience as a Technical Lead, Principal/Staff Engineer, Engineering Manager, Solution Architect, or similar role.
- Strong professional experience with the Microsoft .NET ecosystem.
- Proven experience owning architecture and technical direction for a software product or platform.
- Experience leading multiple engineering teams or teams working on a shared codebase.
- Strong knowledge of software architecture, distributed systems, APIs, integrations, scalability, security, reliability, and maintainability.
- Experience with modern engineering practices, including source control, code review, automated testing, CI/CD, observability, and production support.
- Ability to provide both strategic architectural guidance and practical implementation-level direction.
- Strong communication, decision-making, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to work effectively across internal teams, customers, and third-party vendors.
