  • Offer extensive development and progression opportunities

  • Provide stability and certainty in a role

  • Work collaboratively together and are high achievement focused

  • Because we know how to have fun whilst getting the job done

About the Role

As our National Contract Assurance Manager, you will provide a central point of coordination and assurance across a portfolio of significant national contracts, including complex government contracting environments.

This is a role for someone who enjoys bringing structure to complexity. You will develop a detailed understanding of contractual requirements, establish the systems needed to monitor them, and work with operational and functional teams across Australia to ensure commitments are delivered, evidenced and reported.

You won't own the operational delivery of each contract – but you will know what needs to happen, when it needs to happen, who owns it and whether it has been done. You will be comfortable following up, challenging incomplete information and escalating issues when required.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Establishing and maintaining contract obligations, compliance and assurance registers.

  • Monitoring contractual KPIs, deliverables, deadlines and evidence requirements across national operations.

  • Identifying gaps, overdue actions and emerging compliance risks and driving appropriate follow-up.

  • Coordinating monthly, quarterly, annual and ad hoc client and contractual reporting.

  • Collating, analysing and validating operational, workforce, compliance, training and HSE data.

  • Coordinating governance meetings, meeting papers, minutes and action registers.

  • Monitoring actions through to completion and escalating unresolved or material issues where required.

  • Maintaining contract-specific training matrices and monitoring completion and evidence requirements.

  • Coordinating HSE and incident information required for contractual reporting and assurance.

  • Maintaining organised, accessible and audit-ready contract records and evidence.

  • Supporting internal, client and external audits.

  • Working closely with Business Managers and functional teams across Australia to ensure contractual requirements are understood and delivered.

  • Continuously improving governance processes, templates, controls and reporting.

Skills & Experience

We are looking for someone who combines strong analytical and governance capability with the drive and persistence to get things done.

You will ideally bring:

  • Experience in contract compliance, governance, assurance, quality, contract administration or another complex compliance-focused environment.

  • The ability to interpret detailed contracts, procedures, specifications or regulatory requirements and translate them into practical actions and controls.

  • Strong analytical and data-management capability, including confidence working with large volumes of operational information.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and the ability to identify anomalies, gaps and inconsistencies in data.

  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple recurring deadlines and competing priorities.

  • Strong written communication skills, including professional reports, governance documentation, minutes and correspondence.

  • The confidence and persistence to follow up senior and operational stakeholders and hold people constructively accountable for commitments and deadlines.

  • Sound judgement and the ability to distinguish between something that needs further follow-up and something that requires escalation.

  • Strong stakeholder-management skills and the ability to build effective working relationships across geographically dispersed teams.

  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach – you identify what needs to happen next rather than waiting to be directed.

  • Experience establishing systems, controls and processes in environments where information or practices may not always be consistent.

  • The ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Government security clearance as required.

Experience supporting Australian Government contracts, working within security, defence, facilities management, aviation or another highly regulated environment, or working with quality assurance and audit frameworks will be highly regarded.

Interstate travel may be required.
