Nanny – Potomac, MD 

A family in Potomac, MD 20854 is seeking a reliable, engaging, and attentive nanny to care for their children (ages 5.5 and 4.5, plus a newborn arriving in August). The family is looking for someone to support their growing household starting part-time in late August, with the opportunity to transition into a full-time role in January 2027.

Schedule Options:

Start Date: Mid to Late August 2026

August 2026 – October 2026 (Part-Time):

• Thursday and Friday at minimum required (Mondays possibly included)
• Monday–Friday: 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM (up to 24 hours/week; plus occasional Saturdays for the older children)

January 2027 Onward (Full-Time Transition):

• Monday–Friday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (40–50 hours/week; plus occasional weekends) supporting all three children

Family Specifications:

• SUV provided for all work-related driving (no need to use personal vehicle for child transportation)

Responsibilities:

• Provide engaging, nurturing care and support for early childhood development
• Safely transport children to and from school, sports, and local activities (within a 5–8 mile radius)
• Prepare after-school snacks and dinner for the children
• Perform light housekeeping in children's play/living areas
• Assist with children's laundry

Requirements:

• Prior professional childcare experience required
• Experience with infants and newborns strongly preferred
• Valid driver's license with a safe driving record
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred
• Multilingual skills (speaking a second language) is a bonus

Compensation:

• $30–$35 per hour
