Nanny – Palo Alto, CA

A warm and welcoming family in Palo Alto, CA 94306 is seeking an attentive, energetic full-time nanny for their son, who will be 11 months old on their desired start date of November 9, 2026. Both parents are transitioning back to work and are looking for a dedicated caregiver to provide quality infant care, age-appropriate enrichment, and help maintain daily routines in their smoke-free home with one friendly, non-shedding 20 lb dog. This family has an up to date vaccination policy.

Schedule:

• Monday: 9 AM -4:30 PM
• Tues-Thurs: 8:15 AM - 4:45 PM
• Friday: 9 AM - 4 PM
• Total: 40 hours per week (guaranteed hours provided)
• May be some weeks where there will be overtime (paid at 1.5x)

Family Specifications:

• Smoke-free home.
• Friendly, non-shedding 20 lb Mini Goldendoodle in the home.
• Kosher kitchen; family observes Shabbat and Jewish holidays.
• Father primarily works from home to assist with the initial transition and household routines.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct, focused care for an 11-month-old including feeding, diapering, and supporting age-appropriate developmental milestones.
• Engage in interactive enrichment activities such as reading, music, active play, and local outings (e.g., local parks, Palo Alto Junior Museum).
• Minimal personal phone use while the child is awake. Using a phone to communicate with us, take photos, navigate, and look up information are of course fine. 
• Take the child and household dog on one daily neighborhood walk.
• Perform light household tasks related to child care (<20% of time), laundry and keeping spaces clean and organized 
• Drive child to local activities and outings using the caregiver's own vehicle.
• Occasionally drive child to local activities and outings using the caregiver's own vehicle.
• Willingness to follow our kosher kitchen practices. No experience needed.

Requirements:

• Prior experience caring for young children..
• Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and a reliable personal vehicle.
• Comfortable with dogs and willing to assist with daily pet walks.
• Comfortable adhering to household routine guidelines.
• Infant CPR and first aid certification.
• References from prior families.

Preferred:

• Hebrew or Mandarin language skills is a bonus

Compensation:

• $35–$37 per hour (based on experience)
• Package includes: guaranteed hours, paid holidays, 2 weeks PTO, 5 sick days, and gas mileage reimbursement for driving a child during work hours.
• Nanny will be a W2 employee paid through standard payroll.
