Pharmathen offers a great opportunity for career development and is seeking to recruit a Microbiological Lab Analyst to join our Quality Control team at our Sapes premises.
The Microbiological Lab Analyst is responsible for conducting microbiological tests that support the release of intermediates and finished products. These include routine and non-routine microbiological tests on in-process and final container products, as well as environmental monitoring samples. This position also contributes to the completion of routine technical tasks.
More particularly:
What you’ll do:
- Monitor samples, in-process product samples, raw materials, and environmental monitoring (EM) samples
- Maintain accurate and complete test records
- Maintain sample logs on a daily basis to ensure timely testing and tracking of all samples
- Conduct and communicate results of lab investigations when test results fall outside pre-established specifications (OOS)
- Support activities regarding audits of suppliers and contract labs in support of vendor certification program
Requirements
The ideal candidate should have:
- BSc Degree in Microbiology and Biomedical Sciences
- 0 - 2 years of experience in a similar role will be considered an asset
Job-Specific Skills:
- Excellent communication in English language (writing & speaking)
- Competent in microbiological laboratory instrumentation
- Strong problem solving skills
- Able to work in rotating shifts
