YOUR ROLE
We are seeking a skilled Validation and Testing Developer to join our team in developing the next generation Real-Time Operating System (RTOS).
As a Member of Technical Staff for verification and validation testing, you will contribute to researching, evaluating, and selecting validation tooling, as well as designing and implementing the test framework used for both certified and non-certified software components. You will also be contributing to designing and implementing system testing and V&V test development.
In your daily job you will:
Work with technical leads to evaluate next-generation validation and verification tools and recommend tools best suited for certification objectives (all Design Assurance Levels) for DO-178C and other standards
Assess tool qualification requirements per Software Tool Qualification Considerations
Participate in architecting and developing a scalable, maintainable test framework for the RTOS to support both certified (DO-178C) and non-certified testing workflows, such as requirements-based testing, structural coverage analysis, and traceability
Implement automation capabilities for continuous integration and regression testing
Develop system-level tests to validate RTOS functionality, performance, and timing behavior
Create and execute verification and validation (V&V) test cases traceable to system and software requirements
Collaborate with systems and software engineers to ensure complete requirements coverage
Take initiative to improve the RTOS product and processes
Collaborate and engage effectively with global software engineering teams.
Work in an Agile Scrum Teams and follow Agile processes
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE
Key skills and competencies for succeeding in this role are:
BTech / MTech degree (Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, or equivalent technical degree).
8+ years of experience in software testing, verification, or validation
Strong understanding of RTOS concepts (scheduling, concurrency, determinism, resource management)
Experience with DO-178C (or DO-178B) software lifecycle and verification objectives is a plus
Familiarity with DO-330 tool qualification processes is a plus
Proficiency in test automation and framework development (e.g., Python, C, C++)
Experience with requirements-based testing and traceability
Experience with static analysis, model-based testing, or formal methods
Knowledge of structural coverage tools and techniques (MC/DC, branch, statement)
Experience with commercial or open-source RTOS platforms (e.g., VxWorks, RTEMS, Zephyr, FreeRTOS) is a plus
Familiarity with verification tools such as VectorCAST, LDRA, Parasoft, Rapita, or equivalent is a plus
Experience with CI/CD pipelines
Experience with firmware bringup and boot up is a plus
