Job Description:

We are seeking a Medicare Licensed Sales Agent to join our growing team at Avant Specialty Benefits as we expand into the Medicare and Senior Health market through our employer and broker partnerships. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated sales professional to build expertise in Medicare sales while working in a supportive, collaborative environment. The ideal candidate has insurance sales experience and is eager to specialize in helping seniors navigate their Medicare options.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct consultative Medicare sales through inbound and outbound calls
• Educate consumers on Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement, and Part D plan options
• Guide prospects through the enrollment process with patience and expertise
• Meet and exceed individual sales targets and performance metrics
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of all client interactions in CRM system
• Follow up with prospects and provide ongoing customer service as needed
• Comply with all Medicare regulations and company policies

Professional Development

• Participate in ongoing training programs on Medicare products and regulations
• Stay current on plan changes, enrollment periods, and industry updates
• Collaborate with team members to share insights and best practices
• Attend team meetings and training sessions
• Work closely with Team Lead for guidance and mentorship

Required Qualifications

• Active Life & Health Insurance License (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire)
• Minimum 1+ years of insurance or sales experience (Medicare experience preferred but not required)
• Strong verbal communication and active listening skills
• Customer-focused approach with genuine desire to help others
• Ability to learn complex product information quickly
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, phone-based sales environment
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with CRM systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous Medicare or health insurance sales experience
• Experience in direct-to-consumer sales
• Knowledge of Medicare basics (Parts A, B, C, D)
• Bilingual capabilities (Spanish preferred)
• High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
