Mechanical Packaging Engineer
ONSITE in Mountain View, CA
Role Overview
Lead mechanical packaging and systems integration for aircraft systems (avionics, motors, controllers) and ground systems.
Responsibilities
- Package avionics, motors, controllers, and related hardware in the aircraft
- Package electronics and subsystems in docks and ground systems
- Manage space claims, mounting, and serviceability access
- Address thermal management, vibration, and environmental protection
- Coordinate harness routing and interfaces with the electrical team
- Produce CAD models, drawings, and integration documentation
Required Qualifications
- BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 5+ years of electromechanical packaging and systems integration experience
- Proficiency in 3D CAD (e.g., SolidWorks, NX, CATIA)
- GD&T and design for manufacturing and assembly
- Familiarity with the aerospace regulatory environment (FAA airworthiness requirements)
Preferred Qualifications
- UAV or aerospace experience
- Thermal and vibration analysis
- Enclosure and ingress-protection design
Salary Range: $120,000-$140,000/K
The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience
