Job Summary:
The Materials Supervisor is responsible for leading a team to ensure system parameters are set up appropriately to maintain our stocking positions and inventory goals while meeting our production schedules to deliver our customer orders on time.
This role coordinates with various departments including Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply, Engineering, Planning, and Operations.
Job Duties:
- Builds a process to identify key raw materials with stocking requirements
- Establishes process to set and maintain min / max targets in the ERP
- Develops and leads team to ensure material availability to support daily production requirements
- Develops and maintains KPI’s to manage our stocking levels and on-time delivery on our projects
- Works with production planning and our buying organization to ensure material is ordered and received in a timely fashion to align with production’s requirements
- Analyze daily material status and present shortages to team
- Attends daily production meetings
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure order planning and fulfillment.
- Mitigate material shortages through internal and external escalation.
- Perform unplanned component demand verification and upload.
- Manage material requirement changes and dispositions
- Ensures correct material is being used, matching the BOM. If there is a substitution, ensure all substitution or dispositioning activity is done timely and accurately to ensure property inventory accounting
- Perform ROP (re-order point) sizing activities monthly.
- Works with buyers and production planners to ensure all materials are available and located prior to work orders being moved to production
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, engineering, or business management
- 1 - 3 years of supervision experience in planning in a manufacturing environment
- 3+ years of experience in production planning and materials management
- Intermediate to Advanced Excel Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of supply planning, production planning, and scheduling
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to communicate at all levels
- Ability to use ERP/MRP systems
- Ability to pass physical, drug, driving, and background check required
- Ability to physically push, pull, and lift 50lbs or more required
- Ability to stoop and bend required
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for four-plus hours at a time required

Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Power BI and Tableau
- Experience with Syteline ERP
- CPIM Certification
