Job Description

The Marketing Program Manager plans and coordinates marketing programs and campaigns to promote Agilent’s life sciences solutions in Japan. The objective of these campaigns is to generate demand through innovative marketing strategies that grow business and capture market share for Agilent’s analytical instruments and solutions, whilst upselling and cross-selling across the portfolio. The ideal candidate is an experienced marketer who has demonstrated success in developing and executing marketing campaigns in support of product launch and commercialization as well as sustaining demand generation campaigns.

This position offers the opportunity to blend your business, creative and technical savvy to develop and manage marketing programs for the Japan region, to drive growth and enhance our customers’ experience with Agilent. This involves working with cross-functional teams in marketing program identification, development and execution for successful promotion and revenue growth of the portfolio.

The position requires strong marketing program and campaign design skills, including an ability to understand customer needs and translate these needs into successful marketing programs and campaigns that drive revenue growth and add a new dimension to customers’ interactions with Agilent.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs and coordinates marketing programs and initiatives to support funnel generation & sales for Japan
• Creates innovative marketing program strategies to capture market share for Agilent across all business units
• Collaborates with global product and program managers, and marketing communications professionals to develop strategic product messaging and positioning that is translated into marketing collateral, promotion and commercialization plans
• Determines the appropriate marketing tactics mix and owns execution of all marketing activities and customer communication in the assigned region / country.
• Performs financial analyses and building business cases for programs; Identifying target audiences and offers for a program; Working with marcom to develop program plans and the appropriate MarCom mix; define content requirements for programs.
• Drives insights from data analytics to identify upsell and cross sell opportunities
• Measures and evaluates the short- and long-term impacts and return on investment of programs.
• Works with the respective sales channels to monitor and analyze competitive information and customer data to facilitate effective program development and optimization that drives higher volume and quality of funnel
• Works closely with region/country senior management to align sales & marketing functions to capture business opportunities.
• Has contact with customers and plays an important role in generating new customers and maintaining current customers for future sales.

Qualifications

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Chemistry, Biological Sciences or equivalent degree, along with 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated results in a marketing role
• Has good understanding of analytical technologies like chromatography, mass spectrometry and spectroscopy.
• Has experience of driving marketing programs in key target segments: Pharma, Biopharma, Food and Environmental testing, Materials, Semiconductors, Alternative Energy and Applied Chemicals.
• APAC experience developing marketing programs and campaigns to drive demand for new and existing products
• Demonstrated results orientation, including developing fact-driven, business goal-focused plans that align with strategic objectives
• Excellent written and oral Japanese communication skills, proficient in business-level English
• Effective project management and organizational skills
• strong content presentation skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of individuals cross-organizationally, cross-functionally and within a global matrix
• Strong initiative and creativity
• Proven ability to understand the needs and buying influences of a scientific target audience

This job has a full time weekly schedule.
