Introduction to the job

At the Berlin site, more than 1,700 employees develop and manufacture high-precision key components for ASML lithography systems – with expertise in optics, mechanics, and electronics. You are part of a global competence center for optics and wafer chuck technology within ASML, combining craftsmanship in precision manufacturing with advanced optical production technology.

Role and responsibilities

This role operates within a highly qualified team that uses ion beam-based etching processes in high vacuum to achieve extreme surface flatness on demanding products made of glass, glass ceramics, and high-performance ceramics. A wide range of competencies is applied, making work on ISA systems unique.

The systems are built in-house and are globally unique. The equipment park is continuously expanding, and due to the variety of production steps, product diversity, and individual requirements of each workpiece, the ISA environment remains highly dynamic and diverse.
 

Key responsibilities include:

• Operating ion beam systems (ISA) for processing glass, glass ceramics, and high-performance ceramics according to defined specifications.

• Preparing components and assembling/disassembling them under cleanroom conditions.

• Measuring components and documenting data and processing results (SPC).

• Performing optical and visual inspections as well as interferometric measurements.

• Carrying out maintenance tasks on ISA systems in accordance with instructions to ensure proper system conditions.

• Conducting incoming and outgoing inspections of components.

• Identifying and documenting deviations, communicating them to relevant interfaces, and escalating technical issues or failures.

Education and experience

• Successfully completed vocational training in a relevant field (e.g., precision optician, precision mechanic, flat glass mechanic, optician, dental technician, watchmaker, microtechnologist, physics lab technician, or physical-technical assistant).

• Professional experience in a manufacturing or production environment 

• Experience with handling optical components or precision parts as well as CNC-controlled machinery is considered a plus 

• Familiarity with working under cleanroom conditions and willingness to work in a shift system 

• Practical knowledge of SAP and MS Office 

• Very good German language skills, both written and spoken

Am Standort Berlin entwickeln und fertigen mehr als 1.700 Mitarbeitende hochpräzise Schlüsselkomponenten für die ASML Lithografiesysteme - mit Know-how in der Optik, Mechanik und Elektronik. Deine Aufgaben

Unser hochgradig qualifiziertes Team bringt mittels ionenstrahlbasierten Ätzverfahren im Hochvakuum die Oberflächen von ausgesprochen anspruchsvollen und sehr speziellen Produkten aus Glas, Glaskeramik und Hochleistungskeramik in Ebenheit. Hierbei kommen verschiedenste Kompetenzen zur Anwendung, was die Arbeit an ISA Anlagen zu etwas ganz Besonderem macht.

Wir bauen unsere Anlagen selbst, diese sind weltweit einzigartig. Und unser Anlagenpark wächst stetig. Allein hierdurch, aber auch durch die umfangreichen Fertigungsschritte, die große Produktvielfalt und die jeweils abweichenden Anforderungen jedes einzelnen Werkstücks wird es im Bereich ISA nie langweilig.

Wir suchen dich für die folgenden Aufgabeninhalte.

• Du bedienst unsere anspruchsvollen Ionenstrahlanlagen (ISA) zur Bearbeitung von Glas, Glaskeramik und Hochleistungskeramik nach definierten Vorgaben.

• Du bereitest Bauteile vor und baust diese unter Reinraumbedingungen in die ISA-Anlagen ein und aus.

• Du misst Fertigungsteile ein und dokumentierst die Daten sowie die Bearbeitungsergebnisse (SPC).

• Du inspizierst und kontrollierst Fertigungsteile nach Vorgaben optisch und visuell und führst Interferometrischen Messungen durch.

• Du führst Wartungsaufgaben an unseren ISA-Anlagen entsprechend der Anweisung durch, um Anlagenzustände sicherzustellen.

• Du führst Wareneingangs- und Ausgangskontrollen von Bauteilen durch.

• Du erkennst und dokumentierst Abweichungen an relevante Schnittstellen und leitest technische Probleme/Ausfälle weiter.

Deine Qualifikation

• Erfolgreich abgeschlossene fachspezifische Berufsausbildung (z.B. als Feinoptiker:in, Feinmechaniker:in, Flachglasmechaniker:in, Augenoptiker:in, Zahntechniker:in, Uhrmacher:in, Mikrotechnologe:in, Physiklaborant:in oder Physikalisch-technische/r Assistent:in)

• Berufserfahrung in einem Fertigungs- oder Produktionsumfeld 

• Idealerweise Erfahrung in der Handhabung optischer Bauelemente oder Präzisionsteile sowie im Umgang mit CNC-gesteuerten Bearbeitungsmaschinen 

• Erfahrung in der Arbeit unter Reinraumbedingungen sowie Bereitschaft zur Schichtarbeit (Dreischichtsystem) 

• Sicherer Umgang mit SAP und MS Office 

• Sehr gute Deutschkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift
