SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Manager, Transportation Sales - Europe shapes and executes BAND-IT's European Transportation sales strategy, translating global Transportation business priorities into focused regional growth plans. This role leads the European Transportation sales team; owns profitable revenue attainment; advances relationships with Transportation OEM, Tier 1, and Tier 2 customers; and drives disciplined opportunity development, pipeline management, value-based pricing, forecasting, and sales execution. Reporting to the Global Business Line Leader – Transportation or other Senior Leader with accountability for the function, the Manager partners with global account leaders and cross-functional teams to align multinational customer strategies, identify emerging market needs, launch differentiated technical solutions, and strengthen BAND-IT's market position across Europe.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sales Leadership & Team Development
• Lead, coach, and develop the European Transportation sales team to achieve annual operating plan and goal deployment objectives for profitable revenue growth, market share, price realization, new business, and customer retention.
• Establish clear goals, territories, accountabilities, performance expectations, and development plans for sales leaders and team members.
• Conduct regular pipeline, forecast, opportunity, pricing, and strategic account reviews; hold the team accountable for timely execution and results.
• Support recruiting, onboarding, coaching, talent development, and succession planning across the European Transportation sales organization.
• Build an inclusive, high-performance culture grounded in customer focus, collaboration, accountability, and servant leadership.
• Develop team capabilities in value selling, strategic account management, complex negotiations, technical solution selling, and executive customer engagement.
European Transportation Market & Growth Strategy
• Develop and execute short and long-term European commercial strategies that align with the global Transportation strategy and deliver profitable growth.
• Identify and prioritize target markets, vehicle platforms, applications, OEM and Tier 1/2 accounts, and white-space opportunities using customer, market, technology, and competitive insights.
• Drive growth within existing accounts while accelerating new customer acquisition, platform penetration, and application expansion.
• Identify emerging Transportation market needs and customer challenges, then coordinate the recommendation, development, validation, and launch of high-value technical solutions.
• Apply 80/20 principles to focus commercial resources on the customers, applications, products, and opportunities that offer the strongest strategic and financial return.
• Monitor competitor activity, regulatory and technology trends, customer requirements, vehicle architecture changes, and emerging applications to shape regional priorities.
• Lead the regional Transportation sales contribution to annual operating plans, strategic plans, goal deployment, and business reviews.
Strategic Account & Customer Leadership
• Serve as executive sponsor for key European Transportation OEM, Tier 1, and Tier 2 accounts, strategic growth initiatives, and complex multi-country opportunities.
• Build and maintain relationships with senior customer decision-makers, engineering and purchasing stakeholders, global account leaders, and relevant industry partners.
• Partner with global account managers to synchronize strategies, account plans, pricing, and opportunity priorities for customers with multinational operations.
• Guide strategic account plans that define platform and application opportunities, customer value propositions, stakeholder engagement, competitive risks, and actions.
• Lead high-priority customer engagements, technical-commercial negotiations, value-based proposals, and opportunity strategies; remove barriers that may delay conversion or growth.
• Act as the voice of the European Transportation customer by communicating unmet needs, market intelligence, technical requirements, and solution priorities across the organization.
Commercial Excellence & Performance Management
• Establish consistent full-cycle sales processes across Europe, from prospecting and opportunity qualification through technical presentation, proposal development, negotiation, award, and launch support.
• Maintain strong CRM and Salesforce discipline and use account, opportunity, and market data to report performance, improve visibility, and guide decisions.
• Monitor pipeline health, opportunity progression, forecast accuracy, bookings, revenue, margin, price realization, market share, and new-product growth.
• Set sales goals, quotas, budgets, and measurable objectives aligned with business strategy and financial commitments.
• Deliver accurate rolling sales forecasts and SIOP inputs, and provide timely market intelligence to Finance, Operations, and business leadership.
• Lead regional value-based pricing, pricing governance, and proposal development for complex Transportation opportunities.
• Use commercial and financial data to identify performance gaps, prioritize corrective actions, and continuously improve sales effectiveness.
Cross-Functional, Technical & Product Leadership
• Partner with Product Management, Engineering, Marketing, Operations, Finance, Quality, and Customer Service to develop and deliver customer-focused Transportation solutions.
• Coordinate European input to product-line and new-product strategies, including target applications, customer requirements, value propositions, business cases, validation needs, and launch priorities.
• Ensure effective commercialization, customer validation, launch, and adoption of new products and applications within Transportation markets.
• Coordinate technical customer support, including product and tool setup, troubleshooting, on-site support, repair coordination, demonstrations, and customer training as required.
• Align cross-functional resources to address strategic opportunities, customer issues, quality concerns, competitive threats, and market-development priorities.
• Facilitate cross-functional problem-solving and clear communication to strengthen the end-to-end customer experience.
Industry Leadership
• Represent BAND-IT at customer meetings, Transportation trade shows, technical forums, industry associations, conferences, and other strategic market events across Europe.
• Strengthen BAND-IT's reputation and visibility within targeted European Transportation markets and applications.
• Develop external relationships and market intelligence that support future growth, innovation, technical partnerships, and commercial opportunities.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Demonstrated ability to develop complex, value-based pricing and proposals and negotiate effectively in highly detailed technical environments.
• Ability to lead effectively across countries, cultures, functions, and a global matrix organization.
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, influencing, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills in international settings.
• Ability to analyze commercial and financial data, manage complexity, make sound decisions, and act with appropriate urgency.
• Proficiency with CRM/Salesforce, ERP systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and business reporting tools.
• Ability to travel throughout Europe and internationally as needed to support customers, team members, and business objectives.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field required; MBA or advanced business degree preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in sales, business development, strategic marketing, or account management within Transportation, transportation, or engineered-product markets.
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing sales teams, commercial leaders, or multi-country growth initiatives highly preferred.
• Demonstrated success leading profitable revenue growth, sales target attainment, strategic account development, pricing, pipeline management, and forecasting.
• Experience with Transportation OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers is strongly preferred.
• Experience leading sales across European markets and working effectively with multinational customers in a global matrix organization is preferred.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND OTHER INFORMATION:
• Travel: Able to manage frequent regional and occasional long-distance travel with demanding schedules.
• Work Environment: Work is performed in office, home-office, customer, trade-show, and manufacturing environments, with travel throughout the region.
• Customer, Product & Technical Engagement: May participate in customer visits, product and tool reviews, setup, troubleshooting, repair coordination, training, demonstrations, and validation activities under varying environmental conditions.
