Want to shape how millions of Australians consume news across the Apple ecosystem?
As Australians increasingly choose social and video platforms to consume news and entertainment content, these platforms - and the formats they demand - are increasingly vital surfaces for NCA to succeed.
Working closely with the Head of Social & Video Platform Partnerships, the Manager, Tech Platform Partnerships (Apple) supports the execution of News Corp Australia’s strategy for Apple ecosystems. As off-platform engagement drives critical revenue, you will assist in maximizing the value of our IP on Apple surfaces, acting as a platform expert while empowering newsrooms to retain full ownership of their individual content execution.
What You'll Do
Central Relationship: Support the management of our enterprise relationship with Apple, building strong partnerships across key external teams.
Platform Innovation Expertise: Act as the subject matter expert on Apple News features, algorithm shifts, and monetization tools. Upskill publishing teams through playbooks and training.
Commercial Optimisation: Identify and scale revenue opportunities across Apple News, App Store, Podcasts, and Siri AI, optimizing templates and app experiences.
Performance Analytics & Strategic Reporting: Deliver hyper-timely, proactive data insights—participating in news conferences, editorial alerts for teams, and live monitoring to optimize performance.
Enterprise Coordination: Serve as the central link between Apple and our newsrooms, balancing publisher needs with centralized platform communication.
Capabilities & Competencies
Platform Expertise: Deep knowledge of Apple News mechanics, alert features, app store knowledge and monetization drivers.
Commercial & Data Acumen: Skill in translating complex engagement metrics into clear, revenue-generating actions for editorial leads.
Cross-Functional Influence: Proven ability to build trust across senior editors, audience strategists and executives.
Key Metrics
Growth of variable licensing revenue from Apple News.
100% deal delivery compliance and partner contract fulfillment.
Who are you?
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Digital Media, Journalism, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
Experience: 4–6+ years in digital media publishing, big tech, or strategic digital partnerships.
Track record of managing high-stakes relationships and content licensing deals with global platforms.
Hands-on experience scaling off-platform digital operations in a major media ecosystem.
