Your day will be varied, often crossing functions, but most of your time will focus on delivering results, owning your scope end-to-end, making fast, data-informed decisions, and following through on fundamentals like reporting, documentation, and processes.

JOB SUMMARY

The Manager, Sales is a strategic leadership role within the Commercial team, responsible for architecting and governing the sales strategy for a significant market segment or region. This role drives the "Faster, Cheaper, Better" mission by designing scalable sales frameworks, dismantling enterprise-level silos between commercial strategy and regional operations, and building a high-performing sales bench. As a "Manager of Managers," this role ensures that Teleport’s revenue engine is managed with world-class precision, driving long-term market share and network density.

Architect Regional Sales Strategy:

• Translate commercial business goals into a comprehensive sales roadmap. Drive new business acquisition, lane optimizations, and client integrations that scale proactively ahead of our growth trajectory.

Space Utilization:

• Plan and implement sales activities to maximize cargo capacity on flights and meet or exceed monthly revenue targets.

Rate Negotiation:

• Analyze market trends, prepare competitive quotations, and negotiate freight rates with clients and overseas agents.

Operational & Regulatory Oversight:

• Ensure all shipments comply with Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR), airline policies, and packaging standards
• Oversee export documentation and customs coordination in collaboration with customers and ground handlers
• Act as the commercial escalation point for shipment issues, delays, or service failures

Cross-Functional & Matrix Leadership:

• Lead strategic alignment between the Group Leadership Team (GLT), Finance, and Regional Hubs. Unblock enterprise growth by resolving complex bottlenecks across pricing models, cargo capacity allocation, and regional commercial compliance.

Others:

• Perform other commercial and business-related tasks as assigned by management

Requirements

• Experience: 10+ years of leadership experience in Sales, Business Development, or Commercial Operations, with a track record of managing other managers.
• Technical Skills: Master-level expertise in commercial contract negotiation, market solutioning, and CRM governance. Proficiency in commercial financial modeling.
• Education: Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field.
• Leadership Capability: Recognized ability to influence strategy, lead through significant growth, and manage multi-million dollar portfolios.
