What you will do

Lead payroll operations with accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.

As a Payroll Manager, you'll oversee all aspects of payroll processing, ensuring payroll is processed accurately, efficiently, and on schedule. You'll help maintain payroll compliance, support employees with payroll-related inquiries, oversee payroll systems, and provide leadership to the payroll team while identifying opportunities to improve payroll processes.

Essential Functions

• Payroll Operations: Manage and oversee the payroll process for all employees, including payroll data entry, verification, and distribution of payroll payments.
• Payroll Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations and laws, including filing requirements and reporting.
• Payroll System Administration: Administer and maintain the payroll system, ensuring data integrity, system updates, and resolution of payroll-related issues.
• Benefits Administration: Coordinate and oversee employee benefits deductions, contributions, and payroll reconciliations.
• Payroll Audits & Reporting: Conduct regular audits of payroll records to ensure accuracy and compliance, and prepare payroll reports for management and external auditors as required.
• Employee Support: Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters, deductions, tax implications, and other payroll-related questions in a timely and professional manner.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve payroll operations by implementing best practices and automation where appropriate.
• Team Leadership: Train and mentor payroll team members by providing guidance on payroll policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
• Vendor Management: Manage relationships with payroll service providers to ensure accurate and timely service delivery and adherence to service level agreements.
• Policies & Controls: Develop and enforce payroll policies, procedures, and internal controls to support secure and effective payroll operations.

You will be a great fit if you

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive payroll administration experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Strong understanding of payroll principles, practices, and regulations.
• Proficiency in payroll software and systems.
• Excellent leadership and people management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and perform effectively under pressure.
