Title and Summary

Manager, AI Innovation & Ecosystem Programs (Greater China)

As Manager, AI Innovation & Ecosystem Programs for Greater China, you will support Mastercard's Agent Pay and AI innovation agenda by driving client engagements, ecosystem partnerships, program execution, solution implementation, and market adoption activities.

You will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to identify opportunities, execute pilot programs, develop prototypes and demos, and help scale innovative AI-powered payment and commerce experiences across the market.

This role is ideal for candidates who combine strong program management and stakeholder coordination capabilities with curiosity and practical exposure to AI, emerging technologies, and digital payments.


Key Responsibilities

Client Programs & Delivery

• Support the execution of Agent Pay and AI innovation initiatives across Greater China.
• Coordinate pilot projects, proof-of-concepts, solution deployments, demos, and client co-innovation activities.
• Manage project plans, dependencies, stakeholders, risks, issues, and delivery milestones across multiple concurrent initiatives.
• Track program progress, adoption metrics, business outcomes, and follow-up actions for internal and external stakeholders.

Ecosystem Development

• Partner with Greater China CSC team to co-build working relationships with AI companies, fintechs, merchants, banks, technology providers, startups, and ecosystem partners.
• Identify partnership opportunities that strengthen Mastercard's innovation agenda and accelerate market readiness.
• Support ecosystem events, innovation workshops, industry engagement activities, and partner mapping.

Solution & Prototype Development

• Work with product, engineering, innovation, and sales teams to develop demonstrations, prototypes, and customer-facing solution concepts.
• Support user journey design, payment flow simulation, AI-agent interaction scenarios, and workflow documentation.
• Gather client and partner requirements and translate them into clear solution recommendations, program plans, and delivery artifacts.

Market Intelligence & Innovation

• Monitor market developments in AI, agentic commerce, digital payments, authentication, digital identity, fintech, and digital platforms.
• Provide market insights, partner intelligence, and opportunity assessments to internal stakeholders.
• Support evaluation of emerging technologies and partnership opportunities relevant to Agent Pay and AI-powered commerce.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Governance

• Partner with Greater China CSC team to coordinate with regional and global teams to align local initiatives with global priorities, standards, and frameworks.
• Maintain program governance, documentation, decision logs, meeting cadence, and stakeholder communications.
• Help ensure initiatives are delivered with appropriate attention to security, privacy, compliance, responsible AI, and risk considerations.


All About You

Must Have

• Proven experience in product management, program management, consulting, digital payments, fintech, AI innovation, technology partnerships, or related areas.
• Strong project management and stakeholder management capabilities, with ability to coordinate across multiple teams and partners.
• Experience working with clients, partners, or cross-functional teams to deliver business or technology initiatives.
• Strong analytical problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
• Interest in AI technologies, digital commerce, emerging payment experiences, and client co-innovation.
• Fluent Mandarin and English communication skills, with ability to explain technology concepts in business language.

Preferred

• Experience in payment networks, banks, fintech companies, AI startups, digital platforms, technology consulting, or innovation labs.
• Familiarity with APIs, AI solutions, digital identity, authentication, wallets, tokenization, or payment technologies.
• Experience creating demos, prototypes, customer presentations, innovation workshops, partner roadmaps, or program dashboards.
• Exposure to AI governance, responsible AI, privacy, security, risk, or regulated technology environments.
Success Measures
• Effective execution of Agent Pay and AI innovation programs across clients, partners, and internal teams.
• Strong pipeline of pilots, demos, partner engagements, and ecosystem initiatives.
• Timely program delivery with clear governance, communication, documentation, and measurable outcomes.
• Tangible contribution to Mastercard's positioning as a trusted AI and payment innovation partner in Greater China.
