The Role

EnerMech are looking to hire a Maintenance Leading Hand to be based on site in Henderson WA. This is a full time position.

The Maintenance Leading Hand is a hands-on trade leadership role responsible for diagnosing and rectifying mechanical faults, coordinating workshop activities, and ensuring equipment is safely prepared, certified and mobilised to meet project requirements. The role provides practical technical direction to trades and contractors, while personally completing complex maintenance and troubleshooting tasks in accordance with priorities set by the Operations Superintendent - Assets.

The position also coordinates day-to-day facility requirements across workshops, yards and operational areas, supporting safe, functional and compliant workplaces. It works closely with CSG, business lines, QHSE, logistics, vendors and project teams to improve asset reliability, equipment readiness and mobilisation execution.

Key Responsibilities

·   Personally perform and lead fault-finding, diagnosis, repair, testing and commissioning of mechanical equipment.

·   Provide practical troubleshooting support for compressors, pumps, diesel engines, nitrogen equipment, air dryers, hydraulic systems and associated ancillary equipment.

·   Lead root cause analysis for recurring or significant failures and implement practical corrective actions.

·   Coordinate daily workshop tasks and provide technical guidance to trades, contractors and support personnel in accordance with priorities set by the Operations Superintendent - Assets.

·   Coordinate the physical preparation, inspection, testing and readiness of equipment for mobilisation and demobilisation in accordance with the agreed Load Out Plan.

·   Confirm maintenance, certification, inspections, documentation and client requirements are complete before equipment release.

·   Coordinate routine and ad hoc maintenance of facilities, workshops, yards, buildings and supporting infrastructure.

·   Raise, coordinate and follow through facility repairs involving electrical, plumbing, HVAC, security, access control, cleaning, grounds, waste and other service providers.

Essential qualifications and experience

·  Mechanical trade qualification, such as Mechanical Fitter, Diesel Mechanic or equivalent, is desirable; however, candidates with demonstrated practical experience in mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting and equipment repair will also be considered.

·  Demonstrated hands-on maintenance and troubleshooting experience in industrial, energy, pipeline, process services or heavy equipment environments.

·  Experience coordinating trades, contractors, workshop priorities and equipment mobilisation.

·  Proven ability to diagnose mechanical, diesel, hydraulic and pneumatic faults using a structured approach.

·  Current driver licence and ability to meet site access requirements.

Working knowledge of permits, isolation's, risk assessment and safe systems of work.
