Job Summary

• The Key Personnel responsible for belt inspections and process monitoring play a critical role in ensuring equipment integrity, preventing foreign material contamination, and protecting product quality.

• This position requires thorough, consistent inspection of belts and surrounding equipment, immediate documentation and correction of any damage, and proactive communication with FSQA to safeguard customer safety.

• The role also includes monitoring the broader processing environment for equipment or facility issues that may impact product quality, ensuring all adverse conditions are identified and addressed without delay.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive belt inspections, evaluating the full condition of the belt and all associated components, including belt guides, rollers, scrapers, tracking mechanisms, belt links, belt pins, and any other elements that may contribute to belt damage, breakage, or foreign material risks.

• Perform inspections with consistency across all shifts. Repeated belt damage occurring on one shift but not another indicates insufficient inspection or an unidentified root cause that must be addressed.

• Document all observed belt damage immediately and ensure repairs are completed without delay.

• Notify FSQA immediately when damage is found so affected product can be placed on hold, preventing potential belt fragments from reaching customers.

Requirements:

• 6 months of industrial maintenance experience listed on the application or industrial maintenance certificate or currently enrolled in industrial maintenance course.

• There is 180 days (6 months) waiting period for former Tyson Foods team members.

• Max of two previous Tyson employments to be considered for hire.
