As the Maintaince Excellence Owner you will lead the strategy, governance, and execution of preventive and predictive maintenance programs across multiple sites in a GMP‑regulated environment. This role ensures that equipment, utilities, and facilities operate at peak reliability to support uninterrupted production. You will drive a culture of maintenance excellence, compliance, and continuous improvement while partnering closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering and EHS. 

This position reports to the Director, Manufacturing Science and Engineering, as part of Global Manufacturing Engineering. On-Site position, either Turku (FI), Brønshøj (DK) or Stargard (PL).

In This Role, You Will Have the Opportunity To:

• Enterprise TPM Strategy & Governance 
  Shape and guide our Enterprise TPM strategy, making sure maintenance practices support strong manufacturing performance, quality expectations, regulatory needs, and long-term business goals - including how we manage assets throughout their lifecycle.
• Best Practices Sharing & Programs 
  Drive maintenance programs across sites by establishing and governing standardized and best practice sharing.
• TPM Pillars & Culture of Continuous Improvement 
  Sponsor, assess and embed TPM pillars - Daily Management, Standard Work, Problem Solving, Equipment & Supplier Requirements, and Autonomous Maintenance, driving accountability, operator ownership, and continuous improvement culture. 
• Reliability & Operational Performance 
  Lead enterprise reliability and operational excellence initiatives, leveraging RCM and FMEA to improve asset availability, reduce unplanned downtime, and drive sustained performance improvement.
• Regulatory Compliance & Risk Oversight 
  Maintain executive accountability for maintenance compliance with cGMP, GxP, EHS, and global regulatory standards, overseeing audit readiness, inspection support, and critical asset risk management. 
• Digital Enablement & Systems Optimization 
  Direct the enterprise CMMS/EAM and digital maintenance strategy, ensuring data integrity, asset visibility, and adoption of advanced technologies to improve reliability, cost, and decision‑making. 
• People, Stakeholder & External Partnership Leadership 
  Lead and develop maintenance leadership teams while partnering with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, and key vendors/OEMs to align priorities and support enterprise objectives. 
   

The Essential Requirements of the Job Include:
 

• Bachelors’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial) or related field. 
• 10+ years of maintenance, engineering, or operations experience in a GMP life sciences environment (biotech, pharma, medical devices). 

• 5+ years of leadership experience managing multi‑site or large‑scale maintenance programs. 

• Strong knowledge of TPM methodologies, reliability engineering, and CMMS/EAM systems. 

• Demonstrated success improving equipment reliability and reducing downtime in regulated manufacturing. 

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Master’s degree in Engineering, Operations, or Business. 

• Certifications such as Lean Six Sigma. 

• Familiarity with digital maintenance technologies and Industry 4.0 applications. 

Travel Requirements: 

• Ability to travel ~25% yearly.
