Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)

Location: Iowa
Setting: Remote / Telehealth
Salary: $115,000–$120,000 per year
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Role Overview

This remote LMHC position provides counseling services to clients across Iowa through telehealth. The work involves ongoing client sessions, individualized treatment planning, clinical documentation, and support for a range of emotional and behavioral health concerns. The role calls for strong clinical judgment, clear communication, and the ability to maintain professional and ethical standards while delivering care virtually.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide virtual counseling sessions to clients located in Iowa
• Develop treatment plans based on individual needs and therapeutic goals
• Support clients experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, relationship concerns, and life transitions
• Monitor client progress and adjust treatment planning when appropriate
• Complete clinical documentation accurately and on time
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in all telehealth interactions

Requirements

• Must hold an active Iowa license in one of the following accepted credentials: Licensed Marital and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Psychologist, or Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW)
• Experience in mental health counseling, psychotherapy, psychology, or clinical social work
• Comfortable using telehealth platforms and digital documentation tools
• Strong communication skills and a warm, professional approach to care
• Ability to work independently in a remote care environment
