PT FWD Insurance Indonesia (“FWD Insurance”), a joint-venture insurance company and a part of FWD Group, previously known as PT Commonwealth Life, has successfully merged with PT FWD Life Indonesia (“FWD Life”) as of 1 December 2020 and will be known as FWD Insurance.

- Support and manage litigation matters to protect the company’s legal interests, ensure compliance of the company with the internal company regulations, applicable laws and regulations, and minimize legal risks and financial exposure.- Providing solution-oriented advice and legal advisory services to ensure effectiveness and efficiency in identifying the legal risks.
Case Management
- Assist in managing all litigation cases (civil, criminal, administrative, dispute, and claims).
- Coordinate with external counsel on case strategy, progress and documentation.
- Maintain and update litigation database and care tracking system.
- Monitor court schedules, summons, deadlines and filings.
Legal Strategy & Advisory
- Prepares the prosecution of the company’s claims against others, represent the company for any legal claim or dispute to, or from, the company.
- Review legal documents including pleadings, contracts and settlement agreements.
- Provide legal analysis and recommendations to internal stakeholders.
- Support development of litigation strategies in alignment with the company’s objectives.
Stakeholder Coordination
- Liaise with internal departments (compliance, operations, finance) for case preparation.
- Act as point of contact for external lawyers, regulators and authorities.
- Prepare reports and updates for Exco, Board of Directors, Board of Commissioners and Group Office.
Documentation and Reporting
- Prepare case summaries, legal opinions, and status reports.
- Ensure proper documentation and filing of all litigation-related materials.
- Track legal expenses and manage litigation budgets.
Risk Management and Compliance
- Identify legal risks and propose mitigation strategies.
- Ensure litigation handling complies with internal policies and external regulations.
- Support audits and regulatory reporting related to legal cases.
Settlement & Dispute Resolution
- Asist in negotiation and settlement discussions.
- Evaluate settlement options versus litigation exposure.
- Support execution of settlement agreements.
Management
- Selecting, coaching and developing associate to enable them to provide the necessary standard of legal support.
- Managing a functional budget, including managing external legal costs.
