Summary of Role: 

The General Legal team at GF is looking for a Legal & Compliance Specialist in Bangalore who will play a pivotal role to support the Legal & Compliance function in ensuring effective corporate governance, statutory compliance, entity management, and regulatory adherence for the Company's India entities and across the organization, as needed. The role will be responsible for managing corporate secretarial activities, corporate records, statutory filings, governance documentation, compliance tracking, and providing support on legal, compliance, and risk management initiatives.

The role requires close collaboration with Legal, Finance, HR, Tax, Procurement, Internal Audit, and external advisors to ensure ongoing compliance with applicable laws, corporate policies, and governance requirements. The role will also be expected to provide support to the broader legal team on other projects as the need may arise.

Essential Responsibilities:

Corporate Governance & Legal support

• Support corporate secretarial matters for all India entities.
• Coordinate statutory meetings, changes relating to directors, share capital, registered office, and other corporate actions.
• Assist with regulatory filings, registrations, renewals, licenses, and permits.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external counsel on legal and compliance matters.
• Maintain entity management databases and corporate records repositories across the organization.

Compliance & Risk Management:

• Develop and implement compliance programs and policies
• Monitor statutory, regulatory, and corporate compliance obligations
• Conduct compliance audits and assessments, maintain compliance dashboards and management reports.
• Support risk management activities across business functions, including identification of risks and mitigation plans.

Required Qualification and Experience:

• Qualified Company Secretary (CS) with 5–7 years of experience in corporate secretarial, compliance, governance, or legal roles. Additional qualification in Law preferred.  
• Experience supporting multiple legal entities, managing compliance trackers, regulatory filings, and governance documentation.
• Experience working with multinational corporations, GCCs, technology companies, or semiconductor/ manufacturing organizations is preferred.
• Excellent communication & drafting skills, attention to detail, ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
